[Blind Gossip] This actor just can’t catch a break from fans.
He is the handsome leading star of a television drama.
In a wishful scenario, fans spread rumors that he and his leading lady on the TV show were madly in love and secretly dating.
It wasn’t true. But the rumors did persist for several years.
Then some fans started getting angry and frustrated with him for not disclosing this imaginary secret relationship.
So they turned on him and started a new rumor. They “outed” him as being secretly gay!
He has taken both rumors in stride and calmly responded to them without adding any fuel to the fire.
Now, if he is seen with a female friend who is not his costar, he gets “inned” again and the fans attack her online for “stealing” him away from his costar. If he is seen with a male friend, he gets “outed” again. He just can’t win.
This outlandish behavior does not make him eager to disclose his personal life.
He is glad that his show has fans, but he has seen how crazy and irrational they can become. He is worried that one of them will take their fantasies about him too far and someone could get hurt.
For now, the fanaticism displayed over his personal life… has resulted in him sharing less than ever about his personal life!

[Optional] On a scale of 1-10, how handsome is our actor?
TV Show: Outlander
Actor: Sam Heughan
Costar: Caitriona Balfe
Your friends at Blind Gossip told you last summer that actor Sam Heughan was having a tough time dealing with some crazy fans.
The fans believed that he was having an affair with his Outlander costar, Caitriona Balfe.
At first, it was just fans being stans. Since the two actors played lovers on the fantasy TV show, it was fine that fans believed that they had good chemistry.
We actually talked about their chemistry a couple of years ago in the blind item Secretly Holding Hands.
Then it got ugly.
When Heughan denied that they were a couple in real life, the fans went crazy. “You’re a liar!” “You’re gay!”
The so-called “fans” turned nasty, vicious, and threatening.
While to this point he has remained quiet about the matter, Sam Heughan has finally had enough of the bullying, the harassment and the stalking.!
From E News:
Outlander’s Caitriona Balfe Shows Support for Sam Heughan After Bullying Revelation
Caitriona Balfe has her co-star’s back no matter what!
Last week, Outlander star Sam Heughan spoke out on social media and described nearly six years of bullying, harassment and stalking.
“My co-stars, friends, family, myself, in fact anyone I’m associated with, has been subjected to personal slurs, shaming, abuse, death threats, stalking, sharing of private information and vile, false narrative,” he wrote in part. “I’ve never spoken about it because I believe in humanity and have always hoped these bullies would just go away.”
Soon after Sam took his private struggles public, one of his co-stars showed her support online.
Which costar would that be? Why, his TV “love interest”, Caitriona Balfe, of course!
They look great together, don’t they?
But they’re not a couple, people! They are actors! Caitriona is married to a music producer named Tony McGill.
Here are Caitriona and Tony at the BAFTA Awards:
Anyway, here’s Caitriona defending Sam:
“Sad that Sam has had to come out and say all this. I would have thought mean bitchy behavior would have been left in the school yard,” Caitriona wrote to her social media followers. “But unfortunately a VERY SMALL but very vocal part of this fandom use their energy to write and say awful untrue things.”
While Sam didn’t share any specifics about the bullies “for ongoing legal reasons,” the actor reminded fans that he’s just a “normal guy and nothing like the characters I play.”
“I will not entertain it anymore and am blocking anyone that writes anything defamatory or abused,” he declared. “I’m so hurt by this.”
Despite the negativity, Sam remains grateful to the majority of Outlander’s loyal fans who continue to show more support than ever before.
“To every fan that has supported me and the work I do, THANK YOU. I’m so grateful, from the bottom of my heart,” Sam wrote. “Stay safe and please be kind to yourself and each other. There’s so much more to concern ourselves with right now.”
It’s a shame that Heughan had to endure years of this bullying before speaking up… but good for him for doing it now!
And for all you stans who are finding it hard to believe that “Jamie” and “Claire” are not a couple in real life, take one last look:
Now let it go, people. Let it go.
Congrats to Sabrina325 for being first with the correct response!
