Mourning Kobe

[Blind Gossip] Everyone was shocked by the terrible news about the helicopter crash in Calabasas, California last weekend.

The accident claimed the lives of nine people, including 41-year-od NBA star Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

While Kobe’s wife, Vanessa, must be overwhelmed with losing both her husband and her daughter, she will soon need to attend to the sad logistics of memorial services and funerals.

The guest lists for the more private functions could be a little tricky.

Lots of major celebrities have been posting condolence messages on social media, but there was one that really stood out to us. It was from a female TV personality who never misses an opportunity for attention.

The odd thing is, she is persona non grata in the Bryant household.

Why?

She tried to hook up with Kobe more than once. She wanted to marry a rich and famous athlete and she figured she could snake her way in there and steal Kobe away from Vanessa.

Yes, Kobe was married at the time.

When Vanessa found out, she went ballistic because Snake was acting like they were friends while at the same time trying to steal her husband.

Snake is shameless.

Vanessa did confront Snake about what she was doing.

Snake lied about the whole thing! She said that she had no interest in Kobe at all. She said he wasn’t even that good a basketball player. She even pretended that it was one of her friends who had made a move on Kobe and not her.

Yes, Snake threw her friend under the bus to try to divert attention away from herself!

Kobe told Vanessa what really went down, though. From then on, Kobe and Vanessa both avoided Snake. After [year], you won’t find a single photo of either of them with Snake.

That takes us to today.

Vanessa is a forgiving person, but I really can’t see her inviting Snake to the funeral.

That could be awkward for Snake, who is currently drawing an awful lot of attention to herself making statements about Kobe and Vanessa as if they were all close friends.

What is Snake going to do if she and her famous husband don’t get an invite? Beg for one? Pretend that they got one but were too busy or sick that day to go?

    Kim and Kanye.
    I only watch the Celtics but I do remember how great a basketball player Kobe was back in the day.
    I remember the rape case and he seemed to have turned his life around after that situation. I saw that he and his daughter received Holy Communion at church just before their fated flight.
    I pray they are both in Heaven. I am so sorry for his wife losing her husband and her first born child. May God help her and heal her spirit through the difficult days and months ahead.

      I hope the RAPE VICTIM ‘turned her life around’….Mr. Sportsball Saint tossed her a few bucks to shuddup and go away, as they all do so they can pretend nothing happened and go on with their privileged lives.

      I understand what you are trying to say, but “turning your life around” in reference to raping someone seems to dismiss the seriousness of what he did to another human being. The rape case was only dropped because the victim was being harassed so she refused to testify. Taking communion doesnt change the fact that he violently raped a woman and she will have to live with that every day of her life. And now she has to live with the media turning him into a saint.

    I know everyone is guessing Kim K. but I doubt it’s her. I could be wrong but I want to say Gabrielle Union. She’s made a few statements via social media regarding Kobe’s passing. Also, she was Dwayne Wade’s mistress before she became his wife so she’s not exactly opposed to married men. I haven’t seen any statements from Kim regarding Kobe (unless I’ve missed something).

    Thousands of nobodies die in tragic accidents every year, none of them are elevated to sainthood status. I don’t follow any kind of sportsball, so I don’t care other than too bad, too sad. He was a rapist, let us not forget that – a rapist.

      Snake=Kim K. I agree with you. Kobe was undoubtedly an amazing athlete and he seemed genuinely invested in his daughters, but cheating on their mother is dishonorable…that’s how he characterized his behavior to counter the rape allegation, claiming it was consensual adultery. People should recall not only the credible rape allegation, but also the scorched earth campaign his legal team utilized to break the victim.     Of course this is KK and Kanye. I hope there is a special spot in Hell waiting for her.

    I was. Im a life long basketball fan and Kobe was part of that. I also feel greatly for his wife and all of the families involved as I have three daughters and a husband who is a proud girldad as well. Heartbreaking in so many ways.

    Did Kobe’s passing impact you personally? no but I am always astounding how we attach a halo to those who’ve passed. Gianna was without fault and the loss of a child is devastating. To say Vanessa was forgiving is an understatement. Kobe cheated on her like a dog. The universe awarded him 4 daughters as a lesson. I think he knew he has to become a better man. May they Rest In Peace.

    I’m gonna take a guess and say Kim and Kanye.

    She wrote a “heartfelt” post on social media about Kobe and mentioned his wife as well. She really is a snake and so desperate for attention it’s sickening.

      If invited to attend anything, Kim will take selfies of herself with crying people, pretend to be so distraught, make a scene somehow and be so overwhelmed with grief she has to leave. Then TMZ will post the pix and write about her paralyzing grief and the brave road back from the dark days guided by her faith. It will go on for months. Kanye’s memorial service for Kobe that was leaked to the media was so tacky and a preview of what to expect.
      The only invitation she should receive? Stay…

    Sounds like Kim Kardashian…. there were rumors it was her friend who tried to break up the Bryants’ marriage back in like 2011? She must’ve started those rumors to take the heat off of herself. Awful people in that family…

    It’s really quite sad that women behave like this with one another and no I definitely wouldn’t invite her to the funeral.

    It has impacted me very much. Just can’t seem to shake it. I hate to see daughters lose their loving dad. And a wife to lose her supportive husband. Sad for everyone effected.

    First of all Kimbo is trying to look like his wife because she is the original face of that type of look and hair.
    His death didn’t affect me personally because I don’t know him. However, my prayers goes out to all those affected especially his wife since she lost one of her children and her husband. My prayers also go out to all of the other families.

    Where I live, women’s basketball is everything, and as a #girldad, Kobe and his beautiful daughter Gianna could’ve done so much for girls’ sports at the high school level. As someone who works with young athletes, I was sad, but not personally affected, nor did I post on social media about it. The pictures of the two together, though, are heart wrenching.

    Optional: nope. I mean, it was shocking to read, but at the end of the day all he did was play a sport well. Plus, that rape allegation (I believe the victim, btw) was pretty horrendous. So no, it didnt impact me personally.

    No idea, it could be anyone!
    I was deeply saddened and shocked at news.
    He’s one of my favorite players and I only watch the NBA Finals if Lakers were on it.
    He’s been here in the Philippines but I didn’t get the chance to see him in person.

    I don’t know who the snake is, but his death bother me. It wasn’t just the death of him but his daughter & the other families in the helicopter that died. It was just a sad ordeal all around.

    Kim may just get invited because Kanye and Kobe were quite close back in the day.

    Very sad, especially since 3 young, talented basketball players lost their lives on their way to practice the game they loved. It is just a true tragedy all around.

    Optional: I don’t follow basketball, but generally didn’t have any ill feelings towards Kobe Bryant, so was still shocked and saddened by his sudden passing. Even more so because of his young daughter and their friends who passed with them. All the potential those young ladies had. And most of all, the heartbreak his widow and remaining kids are undergoing.

    The death of all 9 reminded me of how short life is and tell the people we love that we do. Many families were effected with this tragedy and 3 young girls were killed: very sad. Kobe was a great basketball player and from what it looks like a great father but I think the media is making him out to be something bigger than life which I think is wrong because Kobe was human had his faults too. RIP all 9!

    I’m in the Philadelphia area so people here are very upset by this – the fact that Kobe was still so attached to his hometown area meant a lot to us. The video Vanessa took of his reaction when the Eagles won the Superbowl in 2018 is so precious.

    I find any loss of life through a tragedy such as this to be extremely sad, especially when a child is involved. I’ve never been a basketball fan, but I know who Kobe Bryant was, it just won’t impact my life.
    My condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to his family and true friends and fans affected by his death.
