Prepared For The Worst

February 28, 2020 Blind Gossip

[Blind Gossip] This actress is the lead of a prime time TV series.

She is taking no chances in her emergency preparedness for the potential spread of cornonavirus.

She is stocking up like crazy on basic survival supplies.

Batteries? Canned food? Paper towels? Disinfecting wipes?

No.

She ordered a total of forty cases of beverages for delivery. Twenty cases of bottled water, ten cases of soda, ten cases of vodka. Our driver asked if she was having a party. She said no.

Sounds like someone is planning to ride out any potential disaster completely sloshed!

I live in a rural area and am not necessarily worried about catching the virus so much as not being able to get things when I need them later. So, I went ahead and stocked up on canned veggies and chicken, beans and rice, and ground beef, chicken, ham and butter in the freezer. I also got extra pet food, vodka and mixers. These are all things that we use on a regular basis, so we’ll use it all up eventually.

Reese Witherspoon for sure. Whenever i think of her i think of that vine where that woman says “add two shots of vodka” while pouring half the bottle in.

I am not stocking up on anything. It is a virus, like a bad case of the flu. Not everyone who has got it is pushing up daisies. It is not good for those with weak immune systems but so is the flu. This is not the black plague. We will not lose 1/3 of the world population.

I think it is Reese Witherspoon as well. Even if the virus doesn’t spread in this country it certainly can’t hurt to be prepared for some unexpected event if you have the room.

Pretty much all of New Zealand is out of hand sanitiser and we only have one case of coronavirus! Ironically, I had to buy some online from China. I am stocking up on disinfectant but I already have food and water in my earthquake emergency kit. Mostly I’m getting stuff not because I am worried, but mainly because it might be impossible to get if I do need it later.

Earthquakes look absolutely horrifying. I would move FAR FAR AWAY from anywhere they’re prone. Watching the devestation it caused in Christchurch was heartbreaking.

    Actress: Reese Witherspoon
Opinion: When this doesn’t end up being the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918 Part 2, the media needs to be taken to task for scaring the bejeezus out of the public. In the meantime, I am watching reruns of Star Trek and Friends instead of the news. I tried watching the news a d ignoring the hysteria but instead, I keep wanting to throw objects at the television.

Also guessing this to be Mandy Moore or Reese Witherspoon.

If it does get serious, I not only want plenty of pinot grigio, but also healthy snacks, Special K & gummies. Could you still microwave meals, too>

No idea who this is about (Australian, so not familiar with a lot of your shows). Whoever it is perhaps she’s stocking up on grog as a Plan B…if everyone dies and she’s the last person on earth she can drink herself to an inebriated death.

. “Grog “ what does that mean? I’m from NY and never heard of that, but I love it! And yes well wouldn’t you if there was no one left and the world was over? Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that!

@royaltea13 tee hee….grog is an old Aussie slang word for alcohol 🙂🍻🍾🥃🥂🍺🍹🍸🍷🥃

Royaltea, I’m also an Aussie. “Grog” is slang for alcohol.

In Germany, grog is one special alcoholic drink (usually consumed on Christmas markets)

Not sure but [Optional] I’m not stocking up on anything. The amount of fear-mongering going on is ridiculous. The coronavirus is far from deadly. Some people, like ‘Actress’ are doing far too much.

Brings new meaning to “drama queen”, don’tcha think?

I’m not ‘fear mongering’ but as I have had cancer twice and have no spleen therefore no immune system, as I’ve had sepsis three times in three years from colds caught from my grandchildren resulting in pneumonia, and as I’m 75 and my daughter living with us has stage 4 cancer, we are taking precautions and we are getting in a few more basics in case it’s prudent that we don’t go out and mix with too many others. This,to me, is just common sense as we are much more vulnerable than most.

@boyjack4, I’ve been down that cancer road and yes, you are right to prepare yourself as your household is much more vulnerable than the general population. I sincerely wish the best outcome for your daughter during treatment and care.

I know!!! I have a friend who is constantly putting updates on the spread of the virus on FB and trying to freak me out because I work for a vendor of a major airline, thus come in contact with a lot of pilots, flight attendants and airport workers. I tell her I’m not worried in the slightest. If those people are telling me it’s overhyped why should I worry? I worry more about getting cancer. Now THAT is a killer.

Mandy Moore comes to mind for some reason. Probably not her though.

It’s ignorant not to prepare. We have extra paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, disinfectants, medicines, dog food, and enough people food to get us through a month if they limit community contact in our area. We live in a high tourist zone, so we are probably more susceptible than other areas. But yes, we are prepared just in case.
