A Dozen Bottles

[Blind Gossip] This famous and handsome actor is known for his starring role in a popular TV series.

He is also known for having treated his long-term girlfriend badly.

He cheated on her.

And he drank.

She hung in there for years. Literally, years. We don’t know why she was so loyal to him.

Perhaps it’s because of what he had in his pants.

Perhaps she thought he would eventually propose.

Perhaps she thought if she could get him sober, he would be a better person. 

Nah.

She finally convinced him to go to rehab. However, even after he got sober, he was still a jerk to her.

She didn’t get mad. She got out. Good for her.

Of course, because he’s a rich, good-looking, successful actor, he immediately started dating again.

There is definitely one thing that is different about his new non-celebrity girlfriend, though.

Alcohol!

[His girlfriend] is the one who makes the run to the liquor store. She’ll pick out a dozen bottles and have them wrapped in brown paper bags and then carry them all out in a box.

It’s not obvious, like when Ben Affleck got bottles of alcohol delivered to his house during his low period.

It’s more subtle, like this.

However, since she is now staying with him, this doesn’t sit right at all.

Why is she bringing a dozen bottles of alcohol to the house of a recovering alcoholic on a regular basis?

    I like him and I truly hope he’s still sober, but based on this story it seems unlikely. I hope he ditches the gf.

    Jon Hamm and I think that’s a dangerously thin line to walk being around alcohol as a recovering alcoholic.

      Jon Hamm. Hope it doesn’t kill him. His hotness would be so missed, plus he’s funny. Took him so long to be successful, maybe he can’t handle his success.

    It’s doubtful he is sober if that’s going on in his home. She is either enabling him (perhaps for personal gain), or she’s an alcoholic, too.

    Jon Hamm. I am eleven years sober. It gets easier and harder everyday. He needs to put the cotton in his ears into his mouth and listen. Play the tape over and over again.

    Jon Hamm for the actor. Sober? Based on the info in the blind, no way he’s sober, but that’s up to him. I never really got the feeling he was an alcoholic just that he liked to binge drink frequently. Maybe she likes to drink, too.

    No way is he sober. If she’s at home getting pissed he definitely is too. I think he’s a * so he can turn alcoholic again and go on a downward spiral and the younger woman will get bored if him and leave and he’ll have to find an even younger one but he’ll be a washed up has been by then

    Jon Hamm and *. In a recent pic of them (Grammys) they both look *. He probably met her while he was out at his famous members-only (ha ha) club. She seems very interested in being famous so it probably works out for her that he is drinking. Perhaps it allows her to make some decisions that she normally wouldn’t get to make and ultimately have more control in the relationship.

    even without the link to the previous blind, one can tell this is john “the hammaconda” hamm. as someone who struggles with addiction, i can say this will, sadly, lead to nothing good. :/

    Doubt he’s sober yet, he comes across as manipulative thus (to her unknowingly) enabling him with the hopes of being the one who gets the proposal. But ultimately putting him in an early grave.
    I’m a bit tipsy, so hopefully that makes some kind of sense 🤣

    I’m sure his non-enabling, hard working actress girlfriend is just bringing home bottles of sparkling water and has them wrapped in brown paper so they don’t break in the car.

    Not sober. Just went to rehab after he was caught out being a drunken fool too many times and didn’t want to lose the Mad Men Emmy for the final season.

      This is such a horrible idea. No he’s not sober. My fiance is sober, I don’t struggle with addiction, so I have a beer or glass of wine on the rare occasion. He prefers I not have it in the house. His sobriety is going well and he’s coming up on 4 years sober. He struggles a bit, but doesn’t want to go down that path again. So I respect his wishes.

    Jon Hamm (“mad” clue=Mad Men). I really hope that it’s not another Affleck situation but that sounds like the new girlfriend is either being really inconsiderate by bringing temptation into the house or enabling his problem. If so, I hope he gets himself sober again like Affleck did. Unfortunately, I don’t think Hamm has a Jen Garner equivalent in his life to help him clean up.

    [Optional] – Clearly not sober. If he wanted to be sober, he would have found a girlfriend to support his sober lifestyle. Going to rehab and then going back to the same life one had before rehab is never a recipe for success.
