Uncool Charity Chexit

[Blind Gossip] Remember the days when celebrities supported charities that would actually help people?

Well, this married, high-profile celebrity couple is now rethinking all that!

She wants to reevaluate all their charitable commitments. She believes that some of the causes they said they would support in the past in conjunction with his brother don’t fit their brand. She wants to to ease out of those commitments and focus on charities that are more contemporary and provide better photo ops (e.g. children, animals, environment, minority populations, the arts).

“Their brand”?

“Good photo ops”?

Oh, brother!

It’s not like our couple is personally donating princely sums to these charities, so this is really about public appearances and public relations.

Our couple does have several previous commitments already announced. If the wife gets her way, it sounds like they will need to gradually exit from the “uncool” charities.

We’ll call it… Chexit!

    Meghan has Harry by the nostrils. He is stuck on stupid & no one can help him see the light. In the beginning, I was happy for her but then I started seeing things & wondered about her true intentions. I give this marriage 5 yrs & I really hope Harry wakes up a lot sooner.

    Another blind about Prince Harry’s wife… They’re both hypocrites who only think about their celebrity status. They’re “changing the world” while living in enormous luxury sponsored by British taxpayers. Their carbon footprint is at least 1000 times bigger than normal citizens but they’re “the progressive ones”, lol. If I was British I would call for republic.

    I seriously wonder if this whole “brand building” thing and need for better photo ops is because they know that their show is about to be canceled- maybe the Queen plans to cut them off or something.

    Not sure what their brand is, but I am not sure why shes so hell bent on changing up everything monarchy related and that too so soon. If anything she should try to play a long game and may be more successful in not getting people to dislike her.

      She is hell bent on destroying the monarchy because to her it represents colonialism and power against her people. She wants to take it down and those who represent it, and stamp out the regular people who support it and are not of her own people. If you doubt me, put all of her actions together thus far and also see who she advocates for, nonstop.

      I am NO fan of the monarchy trust me- they colonized my people for hundreds of years and caused the kind of destruction that one couldnt repair decades after they became independent. That said, if I was her id like to play a longer game and get my work done without increasingly causing people to dislike her.
      And for the record, I personally dont have anything against her, but I never liked her in Suits so as such, didnt care for her.

      No one could deny that a bit of a shakeup was inevitable, but her actions are causing unprecedented levels of hatred of the royal family. She’s single-handedly destroying public perceptions of a family who are funded by that same public. I’m sure the people of Wales and Scotland, historical haters of the monarchy, are rejoicing at her actions.

    Their brand should be representing the people of the UK. The sooner The Duchess figures this out, the easier things will get for her. But I don’t see that happening any time soon. Prince William and Kate Middleton are letting her bury herself at this point.

    I used to think that people were too harsh on Meghan but this is terrible and so hypocrite. I mean, you’re already married to a prince: how much publicity do you want more? Isn’t Harry bothered by this?

    I’m not at all surprised. Everything she does (including her marriage) seems to be a calculated move to get herself more attention and publicity. She’s a shameless social climber. Notice how she seems to have no friends or family relationships (except her mom) from her childhood, high school, college, or any time before she began rubbing elbows with high-profile people in Canada? People are just rungs on the social ladder
