The Goldilocks Diner

[Blind Gossip] This funny gal who you know from a comedic TV show was out for a late night meal.

She and a companion stopped by a casual dining restaurant (similar to an Applebee’s) a few minutes before the restaurant was scheduled to close for the night. She begged the hostess to let them in.

The host graciously made an exception, but told them that they would have to order and eat quickly because the staff was getting ready to clean up and go home.

She just sat at the table with her friend staring at their phones. The server kept going by asking them if they had looked at the menus yet and what could she get for them, but they kept stalling.

This went on for about twenty minutes. The restaurant had emptied out by then. Our actress finally did order. A burger. Medium rare.

We put in the order and served her as fast as we could. She took a couple of bites and said, “It’s too rare.”

It happens.

Gave it back to the kitchen to cook a few more minutes. Served it again. She took a couple of bites. This time she said it was too well done.

The cook started over with a new burger. By this point, it was an hour past close. The restaurant was empty save for our actress and her female friend (who hadn’t ordered anything but a soda). They sent over a new burger.

This is where Goldilocks proclaims the burger to be “just right.” Right?

No.

She took a couple of bites and said it still didn’t look right. She gave it to her friend to try and she took a couple of bites too. She just shrugged and said it tasted okay to her. Then [The Actress] said, “You know what? I’m not actually that hungry, so just forget it. We’re going to go.”

Of course she wasn’t that hungry. She and her friend had already eaten half of one burger and half of another burger!

Then came the really galling moment.

The server brought her the bill, and she said, “You don’t expect me to pay that, do you? You didn’t serve me what I ordered!”

Rather than get in a fight, the restaurant decided just to apologize to the actress and let it go.

We didn’t want her getting on social media and putting us on blast or claiming we tried to serve her bad food!

Given that the funny actress has been known to complain on social media, that may have been a sensible call.

The actress did leave a tip, though.

One dollar.

    Well i researched Amy Schumer and for a while she was getting an attitude towards people accosting her because of her celebrity status but unless she is faking it it seems she is trying to turn it around and succeeding like Russell Crowe did. It said her history is being a good tipper The Goldilocks could be a distracting metaphor and this perp/twerp is not blond and item is about crashing in and using people. Could be Leslie Jones !

    The use of “late night” makes me believe this is about Mindy Kaling since she had a movie out earlier this year by the same name. Funny gal in comedy series – The Mindy Project and the Office.

    Anyway, if Im the owner of this restaurant, Ill just tell these “celebs” that they should just order for Take Out. If this celebrity makes a fuss out of it, Ill use social media to call them out. (But easier said than done).

    Sounds like Lena Dun to me. I find her rude, crass and gross so no trouble thinking this is her. To pull that kind of nasty behavior after working people stayed to cook for her and wait on her is despicable. The restaurant should have come out with the story as I am sure this is someone who is a SJW who pretends to care about the working class and then does this. What a creep!

    Leslie Jones..I think “late night” is a clue that it’s a late night comedic show, not a sitcom. And she complains about everyone on SM, if they won’t give her free stuff she complains, if they don’t have what she wants in stock she complains, it’s incessant.

    Constance Wu fits – comedic tv show being Fresh off the boat, and she’s known for complaining about it when it was renewed for a new season. After that complaining, a lot of rumours surfaced about her having a bad attitude.

    I wouldn’t have let them dine in to begin with. They were closed. Graciously offer to make food to take away instead.

    I might have submitted a guess while I was half asleep but I’m putting a name out there anyway: Kathy Griffin. She was on her own show for awhile that was supposedly funny and it sounds EXACTLY like something she would relish (pardon the pun) in doing.

    Restaurant did the right thing. For the price of a burger – it would not be worth the social media mobs that attack. But next time that girl comes in late, say sorry we are not serving food anymore tonight – kitchen is closed.

    Don’t know who the girl is but if she continues being a snob with no manners than she will lose her fan base – deservedly so!

    I hope this isn’t Kate McKinnon or Anna Faris . How would I handle it? Maybe showdown time . Maybe just make sure she is trashed word of mouth which she probably already has been. She has a future of spit and * in her diet. A lot of these Celebs just don’t get it now. Maybe still in Tinsel and New York you still have clout but as the Presidential election proved , you aren’t revered so much in between the two coasts. Behavior like this can cost you your career if…

      People are always treating her poorly or doing bad things… never her fault

      She should be grateful to Lorne Michaels and act accordingly. Without him she’d be where she belongs. Struggling in comedy clubs. For someone who is incredibly unfunny, one note (she bugs her eyes. That’s what sets her apart) she can’t act yet gets movies… and don’t get me started on the Olympics… she’s beyond lucky and one day it’s going to be over. But it won’t be her fault…

    What an *!!! I haven’t watched network TV since Seinfeld (the last of the good sit-coms).
    So no clue.

    I’d ban the ‘actress’ from my restaurant, that is what I’d do. And probably enforce the ‘closing’ hours- no exceptions!
    Sounds like this is what she had in mind the whole time.- a free meal and playing the ‘don’t you know who I am?” card.

      Nah, the person in this blind ate nearly a whole burger. I don’t think Anna would blow her entire week’s food ration in one place.

      I cannot see Amy Poehler ever doing something like this but she is the first person that came to my mind yesterday, LOL! I’ve decided I thought of her because of funny and “Goldilocks”. I still don’t think she’d ever do anything like this. I heart her.

    Actress: Not sure but guessing someone young who is too big for their britches.

    [Optional] If you were the restaurant, how would you have handled this? Hard too say since they are on SM and blast restaurants. This person needs to be named and shamed. As a former waitress, I am appalled at this persons attitude and lack of a decent tip, especially since they kept everything open for them alone. Please name and shame.

    [Optional] If you were the restaurant, how would you have handled this? After the second time of returning the food, I would have shown them both to the door. Social Media whining or not, they were inconsiderate, rude and horribly self-entitled. 🤨

    No idea who she is but she sounds a right entitled *! Social media can either make or break you so I think they handled it right but I would’ve liked to lock the doors, pull down the shutters and dangled her over the deep fat fryer til she apologised and left a 100 dollar tip!

      Not to mention I NEVER mess with people who touch my food. oops, salad gets spit in. Whoops, that burger patty falls on the floor. Entitled is bad enough but you are a moron if you don’t think bad behavior is reflected in your food sometimes.

    Not sure which * it was. Hope they got food poisoning! I wish I could be a fly on the wall when she is old and non-hirable with no work history other than being and actress and a *. I hope she ends up being a waitress and taking home left overs after HER night shift after people are mean to her! I hate people like that! Hope its not JLDreyfuss.
