Zoe Kravitz Was Harassed On Set

[Rolling Stone] Zoe Kravitz is the first to admit she had a leg up thanks to her parents [Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet]. But she also says she’s worked really hard. “There was a whole period from 21 to 25 when I’d audition for tons of stuff, and I wouldn’t get hardly any of it,” she says. “There’s kind of a group of girls that they go to, and I was not on that list.”

She also says she’s been sexually harassed on set. “I won’t name names, because I don’t want to ruin anyone’s life,” she says. “But I definitely worked with a director who made me very uncomfortable. I was young — maybe 19 or 20 — and we were on location, staying at the same hotel. And it was full-on: ‘Can I come inside your room?’ Just totally inappropriate. And then he’d do things like come to the makeup trailer and touch my hair. Or say, ‘Let me see your costume — turn around?’ It’s just never OK for someone to do that. Especially when they’re in a position of power.”

    She probably told them. She seems really strong and confident. I would guess she had it handled without much input. I think they would have just reminded her of ish they likely went through and that she always had the option to leave the job.

    Seriously?! This is exactly the kind of thinking that let these scumbags get away with their terrible behavior for so long. Naming names is what helps to STOP having people’s lives ruined. I’m disappointed in Zoe Kravitz.

      What kind of gross comment is this? In what world do you get to even say something like this with as little information as what was given with any kind of authority? You can’t. People like you are a huge reason women don’t come forward at the time it happens.

      @ruthielouwho for the most i would normally agree with what you said, But Zoe said and i quote “I won’t name names, because I don’t want to ruin anyone’s life,” – that there makes Zoe huge part of the problem. Either one of few things
      1. She really doesnt have a leg to stand on as far as sexual harrassment goes, One incident of a come on hardly qualifies as harrassment, He didnt bust his way into her room.
      2. She is making something out of nothing, which is why she wont name anyone.

    I have no idea who the director was but I’ve wondered what her mother’s experience was like having to work with Cosby.

      I’ve always wondered about too. Lisa Bonet was a very attractive young woman, and I wondered if Cosby ever tried anything with her or one of the others?

      I wonder what her experience were to? I mean she did leave the Cosby show. They have her her own show, and she left that too. So I can’t but wonder why?

      The bandwagon where someone is sexually assaulted every 98 seconds in America or the one where 1 in 6 women are sexually assaulted in their lifetime? Believe women.
