[Blind Gossip] These two lead actors are good friends. They have both done TV but would now be considered movie stars.

They both married women from foreign countries. They both have more than one child.

Given all that they have in common, you would think that their wives would be great friends, right?

No.

    Funny story: George Clooney started on Facts of Life, then did a show called E/R (a sitcom with Elliot Gould and Mary McDonnell), then Roseanne and later broke out with *the* ER.

    This happened with Affleck/Jennifer, too. All these women are great mothers but only two of them have the self assurance that comes with a life in acting. I think Luciana has some insecurities. She wants to relate, and she can on a maternal level, but when it comes to talking shop she cannot compete and loses the plot. Matt must really really love her.

    Matt damon and his wife Luciana. Luciana doesn’t like Elsa Pataky the wife of Chris Hemsworth. Elsa has been known to be obsessed with the lime light and fame. i cant see her being a hands on mother, only for photographs to make her look good

    George and Amal Clooney and John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. Amal is the fame hungry one. I recall when Brad Pitt and Angelina were together it was on here where Angelina didn’t like Amal for the same reason. Not sure how many women Angelina’s actually friends with, though, so I didn’t put much stock in that. Now if Emily feels the same way about Amal, that’s interesting and says volumes about the Clooney’s relationship.

    Two Couples: The Clooneys should be one couple. George started in the show ER, married a foreigner who gave him twins. She is not an actress, and the item carefully avoids mentioning that the wives are actresses too.
    I can’t really come up with another couple.

      actually clooney started out on “the facts of life” then “Rosanne” he bame bigger on the series “sisters” he and tv wife sela ward on sisters was smokin hot…ER was the BIG show that really made his career take off

      correction: George got his big break on “E/R” the sitcom, then FoL, Roseanne, Sisters, and THEN “ER” the drama.

    Optional, I would not want to be friends with either one. Elsa is self absorbed and Matt has a deep passionate need for male friendship attachments.

    I’m thinking Matt Damon & Chris Hemsworth. Damon is married to someone from Argentina. Hemsworth’s wife is from Spain. I’ve always liked Matt Damon and hoped his wife would be down to Earth. I think she doesn’t like Elsa, which I don’t blame her. That woman seems off to me. I’d much rather hang with Matty D!

      I think you have it right — a lot of people are guessing George/Amal vs. Matt/Luciana, but I think Amal is has her own thing going, she legally represents all types of people from different backgrounds, and she doesn’t speak publicly about her life with George, so she probably isn’t as pretentious as people might think. Elsa sets up publicity opportunities and seems like she wants to draw lots of attention. She comes across as needy and insecure. Snore.

    This would line up rather well with Matt Damon/Luciana Barroso (Argentina) and Chris Hemsworth/Elsa Pataky (Spain), but those wives seem like pals and the men didn’t start in TV.

    One of these couples has to be George and Amal with her being the wife who is interested in being rich and famous. I know they are friends with Rande and Cindy, but Rande’s not an actor and Cindy’s not foreign born.
