He Is Usually Drunk When He Says This

[Blind Gossip] This franchise actor has had his share of ups and downs. Right now… it’s the downs.

He is an alcoholic and a drug addict. His money problems and legal problems and relationship problems and management problems and health problems and substance abuse problems are all now converging in an overwhelming way. It’s like he is sword fighting multiple opponents at once.

So, how is he holding up? Not well!

He is very depressed, which only makes him want to drink more, which makes him even more depressed. He keeps talking about [offing himself] but since he’s usually drunk when he says it, it’s hard to tell if it’s him or the alcohol talking.

Nothing to do with Mandy Patinkin. We just like this scene from The Princess Bride.

    Depp. I saw a picture of him recently and he looks just awful. From appearances it looks like he will be dead in 5 years, but I don’t know. Sometimes it seems the people I’m sure will be dead soon are the ones who manage to keep kicking on, while the ones who go abruptly/too soon I never was expecting.

    I think this is Johnny Depp.

    Hard to tell where he will be in five years. Hollywood is pretty forgiving of famous male actors.

    Addiction is a horrible disease that requires the person afflicted to fight for themselves. If he doesn’t choose to fight for his life he probably won’t have one in five years.

    [Optional] OD or dead from alcholol posioning. From what i experinced the things drunk people say are usually their truth on how they feel but didnt have the gall to say it while sober. They call it liquid courage for a reason. You have two children not even 20 yet. Think beyond yourself for once, hard to do when youre famous actor and people blow your ego all the time.
    Also being 55yrs old you still cant keep “partying” like 25yr old. of course your health is bad.

    Definitely Johnny Depp – it’s hard to feel sorry for a guy who was so rich he bought his own island, and is now pleading poverty. I used to love him, but he beat his wife and then got his friends to try to gaslight her in public, so I now have no respect for him at all.

    He does not live in reality and depression , booze and drugs are a pretty lethal combo.

    He’s been propped up for years…I don’t see him lasting much longer but that seems to be his fantasy. I wish people would stop piling on him though. It’ sad how once people felt he’s no longer worthy of admiration he’s just fodder. That’s not fair.

    Ha! Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya! Love the reference. I have no idea who the actor is…but i’m leaning toward Sean Bean. The swordfighting thing and all. It doesn’t say he’s currently in a franchise, and he was in LOTR and Game of Thrones and was pretty recently spotted getting drunk by himself outside of a London pub.

    Johnny Depp or Jonathan Rhys Meyers (who was just arrested again and admitted to relapsing from alcohol addiction not long ago). Franchise makes me think it’s Depp though.

    Johnny Depp is my guess. He is in a bad, bad way. I hope he goes for help for the depression and drinking.

Between that divorce, him beating up Amber Heard, that Rolling Stones interview where they basically roasted him and mentioned the serious money and drug/drinking issues he has, him saying he might off himself might happen. Especially now after he was just accused of punching someone on set in the face.

      Johnny never hit Amber. The police saw no evidence he hit her, and then her magically moving “bruise” appeared in photos days later, always in different spots on her face. Amber is a grifter who pushed him over the edge, leading him to this terrible place. I pray he heals from this dark moment in his life.

    In five years – well, between the Fantastic Beasts franchise and the Captain Sparrow one, I think he’ll still be working, but hopefully with better control of his finances. Sadly, it’ll likely be more of the same only also married to another gold digger looking for her share of the pie.

    Johnny Depp dropped out of school at 15 after having been moved to new homes an estimated 20 times during his childhood – that’s more than once a year for his entire life till then. He started doing drugs in his teens, which stunts your emotional growth, and he has been a serial monogamist since his teen years – he moves from one long-term relationship to another. He needed tough love and years of therapy. Instead he got sycophants and years of intoxicants. Sad.

    Jonathan Ryhs Meyers. Sadly, in five years I don’t think he’ll be with us. If by some miracle he is, I doubt he’ll be in better condition. It is so sad to watch someone decay before you. My brother had similar issues. He was always drunk when he made similar threats. He was also drunk when he followed through. I sincerely wish Mr. Meyers a better outcome. He has so much to live for.

    Probably dead unless his daughter can shake some sense into him to get help – Depp’s choices in companionship has been dismal.

      This is in no way Lily’s responsibility as the child in this relationship, nor could she miraculously cure him, doesn’t work that way . I am the daughter in a situation just like this and my dad died of his addiction. The guilt when you have tried (as I’m sure Lily has) to help and failed is huge and it has taken therapy to move on and not feel crushing guilt. It isn’t entirely gone. I would never wish this burden on Lily, it isn’t hers to bear.
