The Oscar Chaser

[Blind Gossip] This actor was in one of the films nominated for Best Picture. His date for The Academy Awards was not too happy with him last night.

She didn’t have any say about with whom he presented. However, she was upset when he seemed to run after that same actress when that actress was leaving the room!

According to a seat filler, his date was complaining about him “chasing” the actress and was in a bad mood the entire time he was gone.

He does tend to be flirty, but was he really running after the actress… or was he just trying to score a few extra minutes of camera time last night?

Everyone in this scenario is married, but if our actor was to hook up with our actress, they would certainly be the best looking couple in Hollywood!

    I feel like this is Arnie Hammer and Margot Robbie.

    I don’t think anything will come of it, he was just caught up in the emotion of it all.

      Still think he was enjoying the night… a bit rude to his wife but I can understand that he’d wanted to speak to fellow actors, especially to remark about a film he liked. I don’t think he’s dumb enough to try anything on at a cameraised event when his wife was there.

    I’m going to try and give the benefit of the doubt, it looked like a lot of fun! Camera time but also a thrill.

    The person was most likely one of the actors/actresses/director that went to the theater across the street?

    First to mind was Ansel Elgort … but his movie wasn’t up for Best Picture.

    Mark Hamill did race after Gal Gadot and introduced himself. They both presented, but no Best Picture …

    This would be a shady Armie Hammer move, but I don’t think he presented ….?

    I give up!

    He was obviously enjoying VERY MUCH talking to her.
    And he ran after her when Jimmy called the celebrities to go say thanks to the public.

    Gal won’t be hooking up with him.

    This is Armie Hammer. He ran after the group heading towards the cinema and caught up with Gal Gadot who happened to be at the back of the pack. He was Chasing camera time/good guy points for sure though, he just smiled and was friendly to her as they’d just presented together. Definitely innocent. He wasn’t trying to be close to her when they were in the cinema so it wasn’t anything more than that.

    They presented together last night, they are both married and the hint about him not getting a nomination was about him. I can imagine the wife in this story being Armie’s wife Elizabeth, she seems quite clingy/loves the attention (not saying what he may have done in this scenario is right).

      A seat filler is when say an actor goes to a restroom, a person (usually a college student) takes the seat until he/she comes back

      A seat filler is an everyday person (quite often office workers at a studio) who take the seat of any celebrities who get up to present or when they win and go backstage for interviews for the purpose of “filling” the seat so when the camera pans to the audience there are no open spaces and it looks like a full theatre.

      The hired extras who sit in a person’s seat while they are presenting or using the bathroom. Prevents gaps in the audience.

      Reeeaally lucky people who sit temporarily on the seats of the actresses/actors/people of the industry who have to leave their seat in order to go on the stage.
      They fill the seats so the theatre doesn’t look empty. And I hear they get 150 bucks for that. For sitting among Hollywood legends. WHERE CAN I APPLY?!???!

      When people are announcing an award or getting one, or just leave their seat for any reason, a dressed-up “seat filler” sits in their seat so there aren’t empty seats showing in the audience. I had a friend who did it once and she had the time of her life.

    I believe he was just having some fun. Scoring some extra camera time and mentions also. But I don’t believe Elizabeth aka his wife was truly upset about that – she knows him too well. But they do have sick kids at home and he wasn’t in his best health atm, so that could’ve dumpened her mood
