[Blind Gossip] These costars in one of the films nominated for Best Picture have requested that they NOT be seated next to each other at the Academy Awards.
There is a lot of tension and they are not getting along right now, so they are going to try to seat them a row apart or many seats away down the same row instead of close to each other in the same row.
That is not an unheard of arrangement for actors in the same movie, but since they seemed to get along just fine during filming, we do wonder what is causing the rift.

If All the money in the World had been nominated, which it deserved, it would have been a no-brainer. Michelle W and Marky Mark.
No idea.
HalfBloodPrincess says
Even though they seem to be super chummy during the press tour, I got the feeling that Armie Hammer was a little bit of a baby about not getting an Oscar nomination for Call Me By Your Name. Which seems to be a play on “Seat Me Far Away”. I can’t imagine anyone being mad at Timothee Chalamet, he’s a sweetheart. But i’m gonna say it’s those two.

Armie Hammer and Michael Stuhlbarg in Call Me.
I read interview that said Hammers invited Chalamet on vacation after Oscar. I don’t think this two are fighting.

This could be any of them, but for some reason I’m compelled to say Allison Williams and Daniel Kaluuya? She was singing his praises for the longest time but I can see her putting her foot in her mouth at one point or another. (Movie: Get Out).

Arnie’s fee-wings are hurt cuz he didn’t get nominated.
CricketEyes says
I think this could be it. They were seated a row apart from one another- close enough for the cameras to capture them in the same shot but not so close that they’d have to actually look at each other.

Margot Robbie and Alison Janney, the latter seemed to be dismissive of her on Graham Norton…

Their tender (b)romance ended, perhaps due to jealousy.

Maybe Armie Hammer and Timothee Chalamet? I heard Armie was pissed he didn’t get an Oscar nod.

Armie Hammer and Michael Stuhlbarg ?
Call Me by Your Name
Armie is upset that the studio split the nominating campaign between both the deserving pair. I like Armie but he needs to get over himself already. Nobody likes a whiny sore loser. He’s going to hurt his future chances for an Oscar nod with his pouty antics. Take off the track suit and put on your big boy pants.

They are fighting because that tool Armie Hammer can’t handle the fact that his co-star was nominated and not him.

Meryl may have been complicit, Tom probably doesn’t want to have his image compromised by appearing even in a screen shot with her
hortensie says
I agree MS is a hypocrite. On the other hand.. Tom is in the industry since I can remember and he must have known about all those dynamics (Weinstein etc) as well. Why is only the woman getting all the bashing? Men have always been in a more powerful position, had less to lose, their risk of negative consequences for speaking out was WAY smaller. Maybe they wouldn’t even have to face negative consequences at all, instead getting praise for their heroic and selfless actions. Still he kept quiet.

Seat them on opposite ends of the row, so if they do win, they are both on the aisle. I don’t know who this could be, but I doubt I would seat them across the aisle from each other of it’s that big a fuss.
Seating them one behind the other will only aggravate things, if they are that petty.

Timothee Chalamet & Armie Hammer from “Call Me By Your Name.” I think Armie is jealous of his costar’s nomination. If so, what a *.

I’d have to guess it’s Call Me By Your Name based on the title “Seat Me Far Away”.
Is Armie super jealous of Timotee’s nomination? Or is Armie pissed off at Stuhlbarg for being so good that he may have prevented them both from a Supporting Actor nod?

Oops that can be awkward, didn’t they want to do a sequel?
