[Blind Gossip] Sometimes infatuation crosses the line.

She is primarily known as an actress. He is primarily known as a singer.

They both were extremely popular in the early aughts when they dated.

She moved on. He never did.

She is still working steadily. Him… not so much.

He left her alone when she was married, but after her marriage broke up, he started contacting her again.

She doesn’t want anything to do with him. He’s unstable. Mental illness? Alcohol? Drugs? Who knows.

She has told him that she is not interested. He tries harder. He tells her that she is “the one that got away” and that he is not going to make the same mistakes again. She thinks he is creepy. She’s a mom now, and she is worried about the security of her child/ren.

She just wants him to stay away. He will for the next few weeks.

Singer Aaron Carter and actress Hilary Duff were one of the hottest couples of the early 2000s.

He was a pop singer adored by millions. She was the star of Lizzie McGuire. They started dating in 2001 and were the Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez of their day.

They were in the gossip columns every day. There was even the love triangle/feud with Lindsay Lohan!

Carter and Duff broke up in 2003.

A couple of years ago, Carter started sending her private messages on social media. He wanted to get together with her.

She found it creepy and asked him to stop.

He told her that he had never gotten over her… and never would.

Ewww.

Duff found it quite creepy that he was sliding into her DMs and was so persistent in trying to get together with her.

In addition, Carter had been exhibiting signs of mental illness and drug use so severe that his own family were taking out restraining orders against him!

His pursuit of Hillary Duff went on for over a year. We’re not sure if he has stopped.

You know what is ironic about this stalkerish incident?  Earlier this year, Aaron Carter had a problem with a female stalker of his own! He even took out a restraining order on her. From The New York Post:

Aaron Carter isn’t playing around anymore.

The troubled singer, 31, sent a stern message to a woman he claims has been stalking him for two years.

“You made a big mistake stalking me and keying my car,” Carter tweeted on Sunday. “Police are now getting involved my stalker has taken it too far. And she’s gonna be sued by me. I will reveal her identity too I’m scared for my life.”

So, Aaron Carter stalking Hillary Duff = OK. Fan stalking Aaron Carter = Not OK.

And here is Aaron Carter, complete with his new face tattoo. Gee, we can’t imagine why anyone would think he is unstable and creepy!

In case you don’t think that is dramatic enough, Aaron Carter posted a photo of himself today in a hospital bed at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, Florida.

He captioned the photo: “Mommas gonna take care of you.”

    Well she IS very attractive, plus she’s a successful actress. Plus she’s been married and has a kid. A successful person in all ways except with ways of the heart. Maybe Manson sees her as his ticket into the more mainstream world…good luck to that one, zmarilyn. Ain’t gonna happen.

    Possibly? He’s certainly unstable and has called her the love of his life publicly in the past after their relationship.. And I’d imagine he’s still fixated on her because he wants to be back in a time where he was relevant.

    I think I read something about this a while ago? She’s doing OK. He’s a mess and looks like a 40-year-old meth addict at 20-something. I’d get a restraining order at the first chance.

Trying to relive their relationship brings him back to that age of innocence + relevance in the public eye.

    He’s fixated on her because she’s everything he’s not (minus her divorce, but that’s neither here nor there at this point) and if he does indeed suffer from mental illness and/or addiction, then he mostly likely was a deeply established habit of living in the past, becomes fixated on what was, which will continue to further his inability to become of stable mind, which leads him into a continuously destructive cycle.

    Thing is, and this is just me, but he seems pretty messed up. I don’t blame her at all.

    I think he was happiest in his life in general then and so he associates it with her.

    Optional: I have no idea, when he left Dita for her I was shocked. Dita seems more like someone who lives in his same lifestyle. While Evan is very plain, she’s not super glamorous. Personally I’ve never seen the appeal in her.

    He’s stuck in the past, probably the last time he remembered ‘normal feelings’ before everything hit the fan with drugs etc. Lots of child stars are abused while young, sexually. I hope he finds therapy and peace.

    He’s probably fixated on her because he was dating her at the highest point in his life/career and now he’s at his lowest he’s irrationally decided that being with her again will help get him back to that point, typical addict behaviour when they’re hitting rock bottom but aren’t ready to admit it is to find another reason to focus on how their life can get better than admitting they have a problem.

      I think you’re right. He probably thinks that being back with her will magically solve all his problems, but he will never be the person he was when they were dating. I also don’t believe their love story was very significant, it didn’t seem like it lasted very long and it was more like a teenage fling. He is not in a good place and she is right not to want him around her child. He should concentrate on his health.

      I don’t think Keanu is like that at ALL. He doesn’t seem to want to be in a relationship after the death of that woman in his life and it’s completely understandable. And plus, I’ve heard stories of Theron that she’s kind of mean.

      Pretty sure those were only rumors, anyway. She was recently on a talk show speaking pretty fondly of him and called him her friend.

Thing is, it’s not HER responsibility to keep him well. She hasn’t been in his life for years. He’s just hitting rock bottom and is reaching out to anyone.
