She is a singer. She recently began dating a famous actor who split from his wife this year.

Our singer was being managed by two celebrity brothers. They are performers themselves and have been in the business a long time. However, they apparently didn’t have the expertise to manage another artist.

They completely botched the release of her album. She was furious! She not only fired them but completely wiped them off of her social media accounts. [Actor] is totally backing her decision. She is now secretly interviewing new management. The brothers are really worried about how they will spin getting fired.

    I’m surprised as she used to rave about them and how she had the freedom to write and sing how she wanted and also how they cared about her and her health which had been bad in the past. Maybe she is upset that while the album did ok in Europe she did not crack the US but the songs on ROSE were slow and non commercial. Maybe Channing is having some sort of influence on her??

    Um, idk enough about them to know how they are as managers, but she has a phenomenal voice & hasn’t had huge success in the USA so that says something. Also, I always thought of them more as being good song writers/performers (seems like they write for a lot of people, & had several hits themselves in the aughts), & it sounds like maybe they should stick to what they’re good at!

      The problem is Jessie J, she’s not popular in the U.S. no one cares about her album and it bombed, so she fires her managers… SOP. Common knowledge and her fake relationship hasn’t helped her either.

      I disagree. The Maddens have been part of the biz for 20 years so they would be ideal to guide an artist. I like JJ but it seems odd that she has met this Hollywood Star and suddenly dumped her management who in the past she lauded for letting her have the freedom to write what she wanted and how, unlike her previous management, cared more about her health and happiness then money. The album wasn’t commercial at all but she was the one who wrote it, there’s only so much others can do.
