[Blind Gossip] At one of the Golden Globes after parties, people could not stop buzzing about this wife of this famous TV host.

Everybody was talking about how different she looks now. Some people were really shocked.

Plastic surgery?

No. She used to be very feminine looking and had long hair and wore dresses with plunging necklines.

Now… opposite.

She’s done a one eighty. She looks very manly now. She looks hard.

We honestly don’t know if she is simply experimenting with a different aesthetic or if there is something deeper going on there.

But it is fascinating that she is looking more and more like her spouse!

Not Ricky Gervais.

    Portia and Ellen. Hair grows back so no issue with changing a look.
    Ricky Gervais was hilarious, especially the part about not doing the In Memoriam segment because he saw it and stated that it was not diverse enough-too many white people! I doubt 10% of the audience got that very well crafted bit of sarcasrm aimed at the “diversity” of award shows. All of these “woke” celebrities should understand that you cannot base awards for talent on the color of one’s skin-that is racism!

    Portia De Rossi? She’s had a shorter haircut for a while but she is now dressing more like Ellen.

    Optional: A+. He was hilarious and ripped into everyone, which needs to happen sometimes for those egos in that room.

    I love Ricky G. He was absolutely spot on about self-important (mainly nitwit) stars who think we really care what they think. He was also right about me too and Epstein.
    I am guess this couple in question is Ellen and her partner Portia?

    Ricky Gervais is amazing. He is innovative and controversial. Lenny Bruce, Richard Prior,George Carlin, Dave Chappell… add him to the list.

    I saw a picture of Portia and thought WOW she looks totally different.
    I like Ricky, he’s naughty, sarcastic and has a very British sense of humour.

    Portia, Ellen’s spouse. I don’t think she looked hard just because she cut her hair and bagged the sexy dresses. I think she looked very nice.
    Ricky Gervais was hysterical, I wish he had more airtime. I did not like the Judy dench joke but rest was funny!

    9/10 for Ricky Gervais. Cheeky, funny but also true & socially responsible. Hollywood needs calling out. He can get away with it like few others.

    I thought Ricky Gervais was hilarious, brave, refreshingly honest, and absolutely spot on! The only reason I watched The Globes was because he was hosting… I don’t watch awards shows anymore because everyone is so impossibly full of themselves and hypocritical that I just can’t stomach it.

      Portia makes sense for the blind but I totally agree, I don’t give a rats * about the show (never watched, never will). But Gervais is unique and after watching his monologue online I’m glad he flung the * in their pretentious faces. The bit about Apple, Amazon…was great! Unfortunately they’re too vain to care.

      Agreed. I used to watch these shows all the time. Now? Nope. No thanks. I refuse. These people couldn’t be more out of touch, hypocritical, and ego-driven. I did watch Ricky Gervais’s opening monologue on youtube because I like him and I think he’s funny. But I didn’t watch any of the other nonsense. Who cares.

      After watching kates intro and Ellen’s speech, I felt like the suit was really a calculated pro LGTBQ pandering kind of move to bring a different focus back to Ellen instead of all her personality problems and drama

      But Portia *has* completely altered her face. Look at a picture of her from Ally McBeal days. She looks like a different person. She was perfectly lovely and somehow needed to mess with that.

    I give Ricky Gervais extra credit on his hosting job. More specifically, his opening monologue. I’m so tired of hearing celebs spew their personal/political rhetoric whether I agree with them or not. Enough is enough. He told them what I had been wanting to for years!
    And, he brought back the comedy that Hollywood has been too much of a “kitty cat” to enjoy. Quit trying not to offend anyone.

    Maybe she wanted to let the spotlight be on Ellen only as she received the Carol Burnett award? Portia usually looks lovely in a gown, but I thought she looked great in that suit as well!

    He stood up and explained to a bunch of thoughtless pigs exactly what REAL America truly thinks of them!!

    He minced no words in chastising these amoral, sheep that live in a world of make-believe.

    I think there were moments where he was trying so hard to be edgy that he forgot to be funny (repeating a review I read elsewhere) but I really like that he calls Hollywood out on their absurd self righteousness and hypocrisy.

    Ricky gets an A – from me. The minus is because he wasn’t on enough. I could listen to him go on all night. He has been a favorite of mine for years, and I prefer the UK Office 1000x over the US one.

      It’s called humor. Some humor can be pretty horrible and disrespectful yet be funny and true at the same time. Ricky’s jokes sound like they fit the bill for that.

    As for Gervais, I do like him & think he can be humorous. Enjoyed his monologue last night.
