Sunday Brunch

[Blind Gossip] We told you a story early last year about an entertainer who had a secret private life.

This story is similar in that is shows you that although someone may be a show business star, their life behind the scenes may be different than you think.

This celebrity passed within the past year.

He used to hold a regular event at a hotel. Invitations to these events were highly coveted.

The event was… Sunday Brunch!

It was held in a very large hotel suite. He would invite dozens of gorgeous, fun people, most of them very young compared to him. There was always tons of food and booze. He was a really generous host.

What happens when you put gorgeous young people and booze together?

He wanted the guests to wear as little as possible and drink as much as possible. Everybody was dressed informally.

As the brunch went on, the clothes came off. Most of them wore swimwear or other skimpy outfits.  He definitely preferred to have a lot of topl*ss bodies wandering around the room!

With the excess of food and booze and skin it was like one of those Roman parties.

So, something like this.

The parties always got wild. Always. Eventually the guests would spill out to the bar and the pool.

No matter how crazy it got, though, the hotel staff were cool about wrangling the guests and being discreet.

Perhaps it was because they were well compensated.

The best thing is that he was super nice and super generous to hotel staff. If you got to work his Sunday Brunch, it was a sweet gig because it was just a couple of hours and he would tip us $200-300 each. That was on top of our regular pay.

It’s always nice when celebrities treat working people well and tip them generously!

One other important note about these Sunday Brunches.

All of the guests were men.

Oh, yes.

Just because our star married a woman doesn’t mean that he was straight.

    Reading this I thought it was Michael Alig. Until the marriage bit. And the him paying for everything bit. So not Michael Alig. At all.

    Louie Anderson. He had one wife for 4 months and one wife for 4 weeks, in the 80’s. He was also threatened with blackmail from a young dude with provocative pics.

    Based on criteria and research, I have this down to 3: Bob Saget, Jackie Mason, Louie Anderson. The welcome mat makes me think Saget, and he was single for many years between marriages. But, it was probably Louie, he was married for 4 weeks in his youth.

    I’m going to say the great Christopher Plummer, because the painting is called “The Romans in their Decadence” and he starred in The Fall of the Roman Empire.

      Agreed. Louie Anderson. He was married once, and the blind states “just because he married a woman”….which doesn’t mean he’s currently married.

      Actually, Louie was married twice… In 1984, Anderson married Diane Jean Vono, who he divorced after four months. In 1985, Anderson married his high school sweetheart, Norma J. Walker but this marriage lasted only four weeks. But Louie would be my guess for this blind item as well. It’s no secret he loved food, and in 1997, he was blackmailed by Richard John Gordon, who threatened to tell tabloids that Anderson sexually propositioned him in 1993. Gordon served prison time for this.

    Norm McDonald, Louie Anderson and Bob Saget all recently passed. Bob Saget would be shocking as he’s seen as a family man. Of course, there was the possibility of a bet with the guys on full house regarding the twins, allegedly. I think it’s Norm McDonald.

    Paul Mooney – well known friend of Richard Pryor (also bi-sexual) he was a HUGE comedian ; known as “the king of comedy” back in the 80s-90s. 🙂

    I think this might be Louie Anderson.
    Everyone is entitled to a private life, so whatever floats your boat.
    A funny man, and his talent will be missed.

      I thought about that too but it said he married a woman but not that he was still married to a woman – wonder if thats part of the hint

    Sounds like he may have been older so going with Charles Grodin – really have no idea. Sounds like a nice guy though, from the way he treated staff.

    Bob Saget? I can’t say I knew much about his private life until he passed so I guess the fact that he was married and had children from previous marriage would seem to make him a no but well wouldn’t be the first time someone swung both ways.

    I can’t find any screaming clues, except that he was briefly married to a woman and was often considered a nice and generous guy but… Louie Anderson?

    Looking through the list of celebs who passed last year is easily the most depressing thing I’ve done in 2022. We lost so SO many wonderful people. 🙁

    Hugh Hefner? If he can be described as a ‘show business star’. And for sure he liked topless women, but as for preferring men…? Well, he was a highly s*xual old dog, if it had a pulse, he was interested.
