[Blind Gossip] There are plenty of people who were passionate about expressing their political beliefs during our recent Presidential Election.
One of the most vocal was this very liberal thirty-something actor.
He really managed to sink his teeth into advocating for President Elect Joe Biden.
Every day brought a new biting remark from him about President Donald Trump.
Since he has millions of followers on social media, Actor’s messages had a big audience.
Actor’s deep passion for The Democratic Party must have begun early, right?
No.
He was always a Republican. He was super conservative. He totally hated The Democrats.
That’s interesting. How did he express that?
In 2004, George Bush was running against John Kerry for President.
That was a time when debates were civil.
[Actor] and a friend of his used to go out and steal all the Kerry signs off the lawns in the neighborhood!
It turns out that this was not a one-night prank.
This was a deep-seated passion to help Republican George W. Bush win the election!
He and his friend of his went out every freaking night. People would put another Kerry campaign sign on their lawn… and they would steal them.
This is absolutely true. He bragged about it and straight up showed us a huge pile of them in the car!
There were originally a mix of Bush and Kerry signs on the lawns in the neighborhood, but by the time they were done, there were only Bush signs!
People sometimes do change their political affiliations as they age, so we’ll try not to be too harsh about his political shift.
It’s just amusing to note that while he now sooo over-the-top passionate about supporting Democratic candidates… he used to be a staunch Republican. And a thief!

He is best known for two things.
The first is his role on a network fantasy drama that teens love.
The second is his role in a super exciting divorce a few years ago.
He got the girl… but there was plenty of high-flying drama along the way!

I’m late to this one but I think we can agree that there are in increasingly less and less differences between Dems and Republicans. Both hawkish , support privatizing prisons, corporate welfare and Wall St. funded. Consider that both Clinton and Obama collected huge speaking fees from Goldman Sachs after they left office. Given that not to mention LEGAL insider trading and lobbying was the bank bailout any great mystery? The party differences are mostly style.

No idea but stealing political signs is gross. Yes, I have been tempted, (oh so VERY tempted!) but I always knew it was wrong and a cowardly thing to do. All of that passion should go into helping your candidate get elected, not becoming a lowdown thief!

I’ve always been about as far left as you can get, but most people I know have changed affiliation since they were teens. The political landscape has also changed a lot since Bush/Kerry with both parties moving further right, so some people had their affiliations changed for them!

Optional: basically! I’ve always been conservative/libertarian leaning. Still am. Never left leaning though. I think we need to stop wars, stop telling people how to live their lives, and stop spending (we especially need to stop taking peoples hard earned money through high taxes). We need more personal responsibility.

No. I was a Republican as a teen and early 20-something. Then I became a moderate Democrat. I wish all of Congress was moderate GOP and moderate Democrats–they’d be able to work together for a change! No idea who this strange character is. No one should he stealing signs.
