[Blind Gossip] This famous over-30 movie actress is known for upbeat movies where people fall in love and live happily ever after.
Unfortunately, she hasn’t personally been that happy lately.
She has always wanted to have a daughter but has been unsuccessful so far.
She actually went into a bit of a depression about it. She thought it was her fault that she didn’t have the little girl she always wanted.
One of her friends gave her a doll as a gift.
The doll is a very lifelike baby that some people refer to as a “reborn.”
She does not take the doll in public, but whenever she is in private, the doll is with her. She gave it the name [redacted], cuddles with her, changes her clothes and just generally treats her like it’s a real baby. It’s weird but it seems to make her happy.
By the way, that is a reborn-type doll in the photo!

The baby in that photo is a reborn doll?!?!??!?? Wowww
gfbcpa says
Sometimes assisted living communities will set up a nursery with a doll crib, changing table, doll clothes and infant dolls, and women with Alzheimers will carry a doll around and act like it is their “baby”. It calms them. The Alzheimers treatment community is divided on this. Some therapists think it infantalizes the elderly, some therapists think it is better than giving them drugs.

For some reason Drew Barrymore came to mind…is the ‘ever after’ part a clue? I know she has two boys, doesn’t she?
I feel for anyone who wants a child and doesn’t have the opportunity to share their life with one. Not everyone wants kids, but if you do and you dont have one, then who is it hurting? No one…

No idea on the actress, but this is kind of sad. However, if it makes her happy, who are we to judge?

this could be either Jennifer Anniston or Cameron Diaz. These dolls are used to give comfort to seniors with dementia and Alzheimers. It is quite lovely to watch (women) holding them. (I don’t see men using them, with or without memory.) One woman, where my mother was living, got hooked on her ‘baby’ and the baby had to be put away. Dementia is so sad. Tools like these dolls make it a little less sad.
This person should adopt or foster. Maybe there is something else going on with her…
phlyfiremama says
Drew Barrymore??
What do I think?? Creepy AF, especially when there are SO MANY living children that need fostering and adopting that could help fill that gap.
PerryMason1978 says
Well my friends daughter had one of those dolls and left it on the backseat when they went in grocery store. An innocent bystander mistook the damn doll for a real life baby (the desert I live in easily gets up to 115 during summer days) so the police were called and the window smashed… all for the doll. I forbid my daughter from getting one after that.
carriebradshaw says
No clue who is this, but if she want it so badly, she should adopt a babygirl.
taracu says
Not sure why but I’m getting a strong Kate Hudson vibe from this.
Says she is sad she doesn’t have the daughter she always wanted, not necessarily that she doesn’t have children at all.
I don’t have any problem with reborns, I find them cute and they serve a purpose for seniors w Alzheimer’s. I say if it makes her feel good, who are we to judge? Not hurting anybody !
aaawam20 says
Winona Rider? She sure had her ups and downs in life. She herself is sort of“reborn”, these days.
I really don’t know, but that makes me sad.
sherri says
Gwen Stefani? She has three boys.
erose926 says
I don’t even particularly care who the blind is about. This story is just very sad. My heart goes out to whoever it is.

I would take a shot and say Lady Gaga.
This is not normal behavior to carry a doll around after you’re not a kid. Adoption is a great way to give a child a new lease on life and fulfilling a desire to have a child. Don’t be selfish and go ahead and adopt.

I think this is Jennifer Aniston. She is so shallow and superficial it is painful to watch. I cannot imagine a boyfriend holding a substantial conversation with her. And she wonders why none of her relationships work out.
trivialtime says
Meghan Markle – she calls her reborn *.
Just kidding. No clue. I would be concerned if a friend pined this hard for a baby. It’d be Rita Wilson as Annie Beeman from that lifetime movie Imaginary Child awkward.
lakeladynh says
I have no idea who this is. But instead of an actress with no children, I think it’s an actress with boys. Clues: she always wanted a girl but unsuccessful so far; and she thinks it’s her fault she hasn’t had the little girl she wanted. Both clues indicate to me that she has children, just not a daughter.
Optional: I would be very concerned if a friend started carrying around a ‘reborn’ doll, even in the privacy of her own home.
kittymyers says
I don’t have any idea who that is, but I think she’s a sad case. There’s no mention of a husband. I wonder what he thinks?
HKKnights says
Awwwww, that’s very sad. I feel for her as she clearly would love a baby. Not sure if the post means the actress just has sons and wants a daughter???
Maybe it’s Cameron Diaz? Or Alicia Silverstone? Or Jennifer Aniston?
Mia444 says
Those reborn dolls are a bit creepy. I could see its usefulness as perhaps a coping-with-grief mechanism to get some cuddles and tears in private, but…as an everyday “baby” you dress up and interact with? Strange af and I would feel weird if my adult friends had one. (FWIW, I too wanted a daughter, but lost one to a late miscarriage so I’m not without sympathy.)

Whisper says
I don’t know who it is and I don’t know what to think. She can’t adopt?
NYCMEL says
Whisper – Exactly what I was thinking! Over 30 and an actress, famous enough for us to guess – surely she has the money to adopt? Give a real child a nice, loving home instead of carrying around a doll.
LaursAngel says
This makes me sad 🙁
omgimbackagain says
I wouldn’t judge anyone who is grieving over not having a child. She doesn’t take the doll out in public and if it gives her comfort for a time, it’s ok. She will probably lose interest eventually.
Can’t think of anyone who fits the description, though.
Baileygirl says
No idea on the actress. If I had a friend carrying around a reborn doll I would feel very sad for her. Clearly there is a need for warmth and caring in her life. It is easy to be critical but who knows the sadness someone is carrying around. If caring for this doll helps her beat depression then I say it is doing its job. If the actress crosses the line and takes the doll to the pediatrician for shots then there is a big problem that has to be addressed.
august2019 says
I agree and well put. This sounds sad to me.
annabelle77 says
Yep. Dolls have thick plastic skin. It won’t be easy.
Joelle Van Dyne says
Jennifer Aniston, maybe?
I don’t know, honestly. Those dolls creep me out, but if she’s happy…
hannahhkate says
Total guess here, but Jennifer Aniston?
flower says
She’s very “over-30”.
annabelle77 says
Okay, it’s weird, but damned if that doll doesnt look like a real newborn!
amagod121 says
Anne Hathaway?
The urge to procreate is very strong in some people. And I mean it in the sense that they deeply want to have a child. It’s embedded into us as humans. Some people get that urge far more than others.
I wouldn’t think it was strange to treat the doll as human, exactly, but more of sad that time is wasting and this poor woman cannot have the female baby that she craves.
rubyslypperz says
She’s pregnant with her 2nd child

Rachel McAdams ?
I try not judge others because we ALL have our faults and flaws. If whoever this blind is about needs doll therapy to help her cope, then far be it from me to disparage her or throw shade.
But if she’s losing a grip on reality and treating Dolly like a REAL human being… then intervention is needed.
Treating blow up sex dolls as real is likewise.. equally unacceptable.
rubyslypperz says
She’s got a baby with her fiance

Actress: Idk but maybe Renee?
[Optional] What would you think if one of your adult friends was carrying around a doll like this?
That she needs a terapist pronto. What was her friend thinking?!?
badgerette85 says
My first thought is Anna Kendrick- not married- no children- but still may yearn for a daughter.
Op- if it helps the emotional emptiness who am I to judge?? It’s way healthier than substance abuse.
Monysmom says
I think Anna is way too young, and grounded, to do this
Kellikopter says
Cameron Diaz, maybe? She doesn’t have any children and is known for rom-coms.
mimi1234 says
Cameron Diaz

My guess is Kate Hudson.
flower says
She’s getting close to 50, does that seem too old for “over-30”?
