Becoming famous at an early age does not always mean a permanent career in show business. This handsome guy was hugely famous a few decades ago. He then stepped away from show business to take a “normal” job and lead a low-key life with his family.

If you don’t recognize him, consult a female relative over the age of 40 during Thanksgiving dinner.

Why? Because there’s a good chance your Aunt Julie had a poster of him on her bedroom wall!

    Been away from a computer for a week but this one is easy because I was alive back then . This is Bobby Sherman I remember Here Comes the Brides and I think David Soul was in it also His last TV appearance might have been on the 90’s Rosie O’Donnell show. Yes he decided to get out of show biz decades ago and become an EMT He had a few hits in the late 60s early 70s but they don’t really hold up that well unlike other Sunshine Pop Classics and David Soul’s Don’t Give Up On Us Baby .

    Bobby Sherman’s 75 years old now, so either he’s really aging spectacularly well or this is a bit older photo. But yep, that’s definitely Bobby Sherman.

    I had no idea who this was in the pic. You said over 40, so I thought I should know this…then I find out he was big in the late 60s, early 70s. His last single was 1975! So, the age who knew him best is more like 55 and over!

    I’m pretty sure that’s Bobby Sherman from Here Come the Brides.
    He and David Cassidy of the Partridge Family were on my pre-teen wall.

      Davy Jones of the Monkees was on was on my wall prior to those two, and I was in love with Ricky Nelson from Ozzie and Harriet when I was in kindergarden.

    I watched ‘Here Come the Brides’ faithfully AND I bought an album by him when I was a kid. I had his poster and David Cassidy’s poster on my bedroom door 🙂

    Bobby Sherman! I recognized him immediately! lol I am shocked that he is now 74. He looks great.
    Clue: He had a single, “Julie, Do Ya Love Me” in 1970.
    I was never really into him because he was a little too old for me. He’s got (close to) 20 years on me. But he was definitely cute. I also remember him on the series ‘Here Come the Brides’. My older, boy crazy neighbor had a huge crush on him.

    I had huge crushes on Donny Osmond and David Cassidy. I’m sorry David has such a hard time. Am glad Donny married and had a good life/family.

    Saw /met Bobby MANY times (in early 2000’s) and he truly is a VERY nice guy. He offers CPR /first aid info at his concerts, speaks about the importance as well.

    That’s Bobby Sherman. He became an EMT, then ended up working as a reserve officer for the LAPD, and the San Bernardino sheriff’s office. He’s still with the LAPD as a captain, and helps with CPR training. He’s a good guy.

      Oh my, that’s Bobby Sherman? I’m surprised because he was quite a bit older than me but only looks about my age now. He has really aged well and still has great hair! Too bad that David Cassidy hadn’t followed a similar path once the fame ebbed away.

      The amazing thing is how well he has aged and how “ normal” he looks.
      Certainly a million times better than his counterparts who stayed in the “ celebrity” at any costs” life and ended up dead, abused, or looking like wax mannequins.

      He’s 75 yrs old now. That’s an older photo, like from ten or more years ago.

      Plus consult the female relative 60 or older. If they are only in their 40’s, they’d say “Bobby who??”
