Mother’s Day Crush

[Blind Gossip] Mother’s Day is a time to appreciate and celebrate the special lady who raised us.

This very rich, in-the-headlines guy is doing this Mother’s Day a little differently.

This Mother’s Day, he marked the occasion by sending flowers and a lovely card… to his fiancee’s mother.

He has really bonded with [the actress’ mother] over the past year and wanted to show her how much he cares about her.

His own mother?

He hasn’t sent her anything or even called for several years now and it looks like the same thing is happening this year. She is crushed that he is treating her this way and hopes that he will eventually reach out to her.

Why doesn’t his mom reach out to him?

He cut off contact with the family. They don’t even have his cell phone number.

His mom must have done something really awful to deserve this treatment, right?

No.

Our athlete just decided he hated and resented his whole family years ago and wants nothing to do with them.

So while he may have thrown his own mom and his entire family away, he is kind and generous to a woman he has known for a year.

    If he wasn’t bearding i can even understand him because with that family it must be tough to accept who you are, but he is playing the same game he played when he was close to his family so i don’t understand him at all.

    Optional: Maybe it’s me but something else had to have happen for him to do this (that the public doesn’t need to know about) because a cut off like that, which I’ve done to some family members must have a bigger reason. Hopefully they can work it out in the near future before it’s too late

    Aaron Rodgers. Unless she was a total monster or abandoned him, he should stay in touch with her because one day it’ll be too late & nothing will change that. Nothing hurts your heart more than a parent who is gone.

    It will take him accepting responsibility for his own weaknesses, esp. within his family, & a strong desire to re-establish bonds. He will need to learn to be more forgiving & compassionate: the world doesn’t revolve around him, his career, or his grievances.

      Correction: This time it is Rodgers with Woodley being the woman he’s known for less than a year. He is so weird about business arrangement, er, I mean relationships, that there’s no telling what’s going on.

    Aaron Rodgers and this breaks my heart bc I’m dealing with a similar situation with my own daughter. It kills you inside. Praying that this family gets some peace.

      I had this happen to my family and my recommendation to you is try to get into family therapy – it may take YEARS. Most of all LISTEN! to what your daughter has to say – do not dismiss it as fantasy. It is real. WIth time, it may heal. It might not be the ideal relationship or the relationship you want but it could be a real relationship. Also don’t push, accept the boundaries she might want to keep in place.

    He’s the type who cares more about appearances than anything (explains his relationships). If there was a death in the family, he’d be at the funeral to reconcile because if not, he’d get bad PR. My uncle is like that- he’s a pilot who owns his own plane, flies around the world, but never managed to fly in to see my sick grandmother. Yet, he managed to be at her funeral because it would have looked bad if he wasn’t.

    I know his ex was supossedly a manipulative b* who pried him away from the fam. But since they’re not together anymore maybe there were serious problems with the family before she came along. In which case its anyone’s guess if he’ll reconcile.

    I’m tellin’ ya, man… I spent years with little-to-no contact with my own mom, for no particular reason. We just weren’t close. She passed away just over 4 years ago, and I would give anything to be able to talk to her on the phone or spend an afternoon with her…

    Get over yourself and mend this relationship, before it’s too late.
