    alicia silverstone. bathing with a tween is sexual abuse because she is brandishing her naked body in front of a child at a time he is becoming curious about sex, possibly insuring his lifelong need for therapy, and being public about it will also insure his being psychologically thrashed at school by other kids. really gross of her to be so flip about her behavior. I hope its untrue.

    I think it’s BIZZARE. A 9-year-old child bathing with his mother just makes me shudder. Poor kid is probably going to have some weird and complex mommy issues when he grows up. The giving him pre-chewed food thing is also super weird but he probably won’t remember that since he was a baby at the time.

    Optnl: I disagree with raising children with zero gender boundaries unless it is amply clear that the child fits into a different gender than what nature assigned & great harm will come to him or her if you continue on to disregard the child’s wishes. I believe that raising a child with zero boundaries will cause them great confusion, anxiety, & stress, especially as they reach puberty & beyond, with the above exception noted. So, not a fan of her parenting style.

    To me it’s a bit out there. Maybe I spend my life too much in a bubble but I’m okay with that; also, my adult (almost 27 yr old) only child is seemingly doing well in most aspects of her life – marriage, career, parenting one child (toddler), social life, etc. – so hopefully this helps support my opinion. I’ve always just wanted her to be happy & love her unconditionally; I tried to raise her with respect to others, accountability…make it as an adult in this crazy…

    She can parent her child however she likes, but to make these wild accusations that her child is so calm and well behaved because he’s vegan is crazy. I’m a teacher and I know plenty of meat-eating well behaved children.

    Optional: I don’t think it’s my place to judge another mother’s parenting style. I wouldn’t want someone judging mine. We all try to do our best and what we think is right for our children. It seems to be working for them, so that’s great. Obviously, it isn’t for everybody. But maybe if we all stopped judging each other and just let people live, the world would be a little happier.
