[Blind Gossip] This world-famous and very rich professional athlete was recently arrested and is being charged with two VERY serious crimes!

It all happened overseas.

He was staying at a penthouse suite in the [redacted hotel/City]. He managed to get away with some other s*xual assaults before, but the woman in this case was beaten and r*ped and is not backing down and won’t be paid off. Prosecutors have opened a file and they are putting significant resources towards the investigation, so this is all being treated seriously. There is a good chance he will go to ail this time.

Guess his luck finally ran out.

We have some indication as to his state of mind when this happened.

He has basically been on a giant drug bender since [a big sports event]. He now spends all his time doing coke surrounded by a mob of shady, brain dead, hangers on. He has become very aggressive and is constantly in trouble or looking to cause trouble.

Will the information about the crimes and arrest become public?

Legally, his name can’t be released unless he is convicted and the woman waives her right to anonymity.

Your friends at Blind Gossip told you two months ago that a world-famous athlete had recently been arrested for assaulting a woman in a hotel room in a large international city.

This incident actually occurred in a hotel room in Dublin, Ireland in December 2018.

Today, just as Conor McGregor announced his retirement from MMA fighting, the news about the assault broke across the mainstream media.

Former UFC champion, who announced retirement from MMA on Tuesday, faces allegations over complaint in Dublin

Hours after Conor McGregor announced his retirement from mixed martial arts, the New York Times has reported that he is under investigation over allegations of s*xual assault.

According to the Times, the former UFC champion was arrested in January after a woman said he sexually assaulted her in Dublin in December. No charges have been laid against McGregor but sources told the Times he is still under investigation by Irish police. The alleged assault is said to have taken place at the Beacon Hotel, where McGregor is believed to occasionally stay on visits to Ireland. The hotel is a 25-minute drive from Crumlin, where McGregor grew up.

On Tuesday, Karen Kessler, a spokesperson for McGregor’s legal team spoke to ESPN. “This story has been circulating for some time and it is unclear why it is being reported now,” Kessler said. “The assumption that the Conor retirement announcement today is related to this rumour is absolutely false. Should Conor fight in the future it must be in an environment where fighters are respected for their value, their skill, their hard work and their dedication to the sport.”

On Tuesday morning McGregor, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, announced on Twitter that he had ended his fighting career. “Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as ‘Mixed Martial Art’ today. I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition. I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement. Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!”

McGregor had appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show on Monday before announcing his retirement.

He gave no indication that he was considering quitting fighting or was under any outside pressures.

“I am set for life, my family is set for life,” he said. “I’ve done a lot, I’ve fought a lot. I’ve never pulled out of contests. I’ve gone through some crazy injuries, some crazy external situations that many a man would sprint for the hills if it happened to them. But I stood firm [and] done my piece for the company. Like I said, this whiskey [one of McGregor’s business interests] is my baby. I have a lot of great entities. I don’t necessarily need to fight.”

The Irishman, along with Ronda Rousey, was UFC’s biggest star for years.

Before the New York Times report emerged, the UFC president Dana White paid tribute to McGregor’s career in mixed martial arts. “He has been so fun to watch,” White told ESPN. “He has accomplished incredible things in this sport. I am so happy for him and look forward to seeing him be as successful outside of the octagon as he was in it.”

McGregor has not fought since October last year when he lost to lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. McGregor was suspended for six months after that fight ended with brawls spreading into the crowd.

McGregor has also made headlines away from UFC. In 2017, he made tens of millions of dollars after making his boxing debut against the undefeated Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas. While many dismissed the bout as a publicity stunt, it increased the profile of McGregor, who was already one of the most famous fighters in the world.

This month, he was arrested in Florida on suspicion of stealing the phone of someone who was trying to take his photo. Before last year’s Nurmagomedov fight, he avoided jail over his involvement in a melee after a news conference for the UFC 223 event at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

    Definitely Conor McGregor. The Irish Times and Irish Mirror are reporting that he had to report to a Garda station and give DNA samples. Allegedly, it happened in Dublin, and the Irish justice system is not as transparent as the United States. He’s got a big problem, and he’s a dangerous person if half of what’s reported is true.

    Conor McGregor. Somehow this ceases to surprise me. He may be able to fight but that doesn’t mean he has integrity or respect for people especially women. Yes, I can imagine him taking his tantrums out on women, it gives him a sense of power in the world. What a sad little man, weakling.

    Don’t besmirch the Irish with Floyd Mayweather’s name. He just fought Tensin . Nasukawa in what ESPN called “a laughable event”. Good clue though == fighting Irish and fighter Mayweather. Lock him up!

    Athlete: That d*ckhead Conor Mcgregor. It’s well know in Dublin that since the Diaz/Mcgregor 2 fight that he’s been on a huge bender. Apparently when he learnt that his misses went into labor he still did lines of the stuff for an hour or two.

    Given all of the shady stuff I’ve heard about him I would guess that he’s guilty however I doubt that he will be convicted.

    He’s bad news- came up from nothing and now doesn’t know how to handle himself or his money. After he gets out of prison,, he needs to go back to Crumlin and stay there. His 15 minutes are up.

    This is CM. Victim is in her 20s and it happened in Dublin. She was bruised and battered when cops visited her home later that day, after someone else in the home called police. The rumors began in December ’18 but she hadn’t given a formal statement yet. I’m assuming she has since. If it is him, he needs to be held accountable.

    Cristiano Ronaldo? A model said she was raped by him not so long ago but people forgot about it two days later.

    He lives in Portugal, he lost the World Cup badly so that’s kind of a good motive.

    Opicional: he is guilty, a woman needs guts to go to the police because of a rape, I have the tendency of believe on women. Unfortunately I don’t think he’s going to go to jail or something, he has so much money he can buy the court if he wants to

    Conor McGregor. I don’t know the circumstances, but I think he’s capable of this, based on previous behavior. He’s proven he’s violent and easily influenced by his friends w/the bus incident, so the description fits. And the picture and mention of “luck” imply the perpetrator is Irish.

    I heard he’s abusive to the mother of his child & he cheats on her all the time; also, I’ve heard he’s a heavy drug & steroid user, and thus, he has rages all the time. I don’t know if he’ll get convicted finally, but he needs a real wake up call as someone is going to get killed soon if there isn’t any intervention.
