[Blind Gossip] She is one of the stars of a film that is being released for the holidays.

She is not happy.

While she was filming, she was so happy and proud of the work they were doing. She was sure it was going to be a bit hit and that all her fans would line up at the theaters to see it.

And then… the reviews came in.

The movie is awful.

It stinks like a litterbox that hasn’t been cleaned in a month.

It may be one of the worst-reviewed films of all time.

She is very upset. Now she doesn’t know what to do. She is contractually obligated to promote the movie, but she doesn’t want to be associated with a loser.

Girl, you’ve got options to help distance yourself!

Private jet scheduling issues. The flu. Car problems. Fake an injury. Weather delays. Laryngitis.

Whatever you decide, don’t speak badly of the film.

Oh, and try not to let all those catty critics get you down!

You’ve got a long career ahead to do other movies… that will hopefully stink less than this this one.

    All broadway shows don’t make a good transition to film.

    Emma Watson promoting Little Women.
    I think any movie that came out against Jumanji 2, Frozen 2, and Start Wars 3 (or 9) was doomed for failure.

    Not Swift she’s not an actress and she’s been doing tons of promotion for the movie.
    Jennifer Hudson has been a no show on talk shows.

    Clean out the litter box Taylor Swift & stick to writing songs about your contrived drama. As for Cats , most people that I have talked to really don’t like it. Sure the Memories song is beautiful and iconic but that is about it . Musical—like the book by TS Eliot it is based on — is just mediocre. When you decide to jump in to both works , you are gogggled eye with enthusiasm & the attitude of ‘ Bring it On ” It never arrives. . Old Disney flick Aristocats is much better !

    I’m looking forward to seeing it, i have loved the previews.
    If you remember The Greatest Showman was slated by all the film critics…pah! What do they know. One of the best films of all time and I bet Cats will be too.
    Have faith people, go and see it, ignore the critics and make up your own minds.

    Cats is the worst musical and I died inside when I heard they were doing a film adaptation. There is no way to take giant turd and make it gold.

    Taylor Swift hasn’t had much luck picking film projects to try to break into acting.

    I don’t know how they got so many big names to agree to star in it🤦🏼‍♀️

    Cats with the fans comment implying she has a lot of fans im going with Taylor, even though she isn’t really an actress. None of the other females has a rabid fan base. I won’t go. Saw the 1994 performance with John partridge as rum tum and don’t think they’ll top those performances

    Optional: Good Lord no. I’ll wait a few years until it hits the Prince Charles Cinema so I can hate watch it with other like minded individuals just as Tom Hooper clearly intended.

    Taylor Cat Sswift. Her people can’t even tell her that many people doesnt really ‘fancy’ the movie? Because the like dislike ratio of its trailers was a foretelling that it was going to flop. But on a slightly positive note, her brief scene was apparently the only entertaining part of the movie, and she has a feature song in it that was Also nominated so..But if she really wants to be a multitasker and pursue being an actress maybe she should find other role that are less creepy than this…

    Swift needs to stop behaving live a spoiled diva and realize she can’t always stomp her feet and get her way. You can’t undermine a project you’ve worked on, that involves hundreds of other people, just because it didn’t turn out to be successful and you’re afraid it might ruin your “image”. Have some respect for your colleagues. Also, she might be a megastar or whatever but she is still an employee bound by a contract.

    Cats == I don’t think Judi Dench has fans who line up for her movies, so the actress must be Jennifer Hudson. Cats received a 19 percent approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes. Peeyew.

    Honestly, this looked like it was going to bomb from the beginning. I’m not sure why she thought this would be a hit, lol. And no I won’t go see it, it looks terrible. Movie tickets are pricey so I’ll save my money for something better!

    I’ve seen it on stage way too many times to risk watching the film right now. Maybe…later.

    Interestingly, TS’s young man is attached to his own stinker, the ghastly, dark, dreary re-boot of “A Christmas Carol” from the BBC/FX. Just….awful.

    Big NO. I saw the original Broadway production when it opened. I’ve never – NEVER – understood its appeal, and I found it difficult to believe that it ran as long as it did. Essentially, there is no story, only one truly great song, and the concept of watching a large cats (sorry, CAST) of actors/singers/dancers pretending to be cast (sorry, CATS) wore thin within the first half-hour. The first and second trailers were as much as I could stomach.

      Curmudgeon, you said everything I was thinking. I cannot suspend my disbelief and actually let my mind believe that grown humans are cats. I just can’t do it. I watched 5 minutes of the broadway, woke up when it was over. Still upset I spent money on it, to this day.

      Me too! I enjoyed the music, but the story, and creepiness of the sets, I definitely didn’t care for. Can’t imagine it as a movie. The say the CGI effects are really creepy in the movie.

      Same. I saw the stage production twice – both free as were gifts (family and friends know I love musicals). I hated it the 1st time so my heart sank when I received tickets again a few years later. I don’t mind the soundtrack so if I was a fan of any of the movie’s cast I’d go. I’m not, so I won’t.

      My 1st instinct was Taylor but I don’t think she’d stoop to bowing to poor reviews. Jennifer Hudson however is sassy and has been promoting the movie on late night talk shows.

    No. I am not a fan of musicals anyway and all of the reviews indicate that the movie is extremely bad. Sorry for her that it ended up being so bad.

      Taylor Swift. If I were to watch it, I definitely would wait for Netflix. It looks awful and I love the musical.

      I’ve heard her performance of Memory and Ian McKellens’ role are the high points of the film.
      I think it’s Taylor Swift but it’s going to be hard to distance herself since she has the golden globes coming up to remind everyone she was in it.

      Although she’s only in it for about 20 minutes, I heard. The “chorus” cats don’t get big pieces, but pop up between songs.
