Handsome Plan Turns Ugly

[Blind Gossip] This handsome actor wanted a very specific role. He thought it would mark his transition from franchise comic actor to serious actor.

He thought that if he personally engaged the author of the book by “spending time” with her, it would help his agency land the movie deal with the publisher… as well as land him the lead role!

Well, guess what?

His plan backfired. In a big way. As of right now, our actor will not be getting the role!

Not only that, after battling with the author’s publisher, his agency – which had been quietly negotiating the rights for months – may be completely out, too!

Why is this such a big deal? Well, this wasn’t just about one deal. The agency was trying to score deals on multiple works from the same author. Those negotiations have all stopped, too.

The agency is angry because they believe that The Actor’s involvement with The Author messed with the dynamics of the deal. Instead of keeping everything professional, it got personal.

The Author is angry, too. She is supposedly taking legal action against her publisher and the agency for screwing up the deal.

That may not be smart, though.

Why not?

Because her personal relationship with The Actor would likely get dragged into any lawsuit.

Does she really want that relationship disclosed in a courtroom?

Just asking for a friend. And her husband.

Handsome Actor is now in the middle of a very ugly situation.

Perhaps he could relieve some of that stress by taking his dog for a walk?

    Chris is always posting pictures of his dog on social media and gets papped walking it. He also takes pics with the dog similar in theme to this picture.

    Guess at what happens next: She won’t sue due to embarrassment. She’ll probably get another deal but it won’t be as good as this one was. The publisher could dump her but they probably still see an opportunity so they may stay.

    Maybe they’ll come up with ANOTHER comics themed show-movie for Henry…. YAWWWWWN. For all the masses of creative people out there, they recycle everything. Save the recycling for rubbish and write some tantalizing quality stories that are not for kids. Pretty please. Even a sexy Cavill romance would be welcomed.

    [Optional] What do you think will happen? I’m surprised she would be involved in an affair. She has always said how grateful she is of her husband especially after her history with domestic violence. Unfortunately the author losses control of their work when selling to a big publisher. They’ll sell the rights to the highest bidder and that’ll be it.

    I have no idea who this could be based on the references to dogs and a book deal. The only comedian I know that’s done a 180 to star in a serious drama is Sacha Baron Cohen.

      I was also thrown off by the description, assuming that “comic actor” meant comedies, not comic books. I was thinking Mike Myers, as much of his (successful) film work has been in franchises like Austin Powers and Shrek. But the other commenters seem to have it with Cavill.

    Don’t know the actor or writer, but the guy in the photo was the Italian guy, Marcello, in Under the Tuscan Sun. He was lovely on the eyes in that movie.

      Oh my, I just reread the Blind about an actor with the Herp. that everyone thought pertained to Cavill. NOW I am starting to see why the author might be beyond mad and wanting Cavill OFF the project entirely. Ooh yeah, most definitely. And mad enough to sue her publisher and his agency over “screwing up the deal” by ever bringing Cavill into the mix at all.

    I think that Superman should learn to keep it in his spandex tights next time. She won’t sue because it will only bring it to public attention that she banged Superman while still married.
    Henry basically screwed himself out of an opportunity. Apparently, Harry Potter’s isn’t the only magic wand that interests J.K.
