[Blind Gossip] This actress’ TV series just got canceled!

She cried.

Given that projects come and go and she has been in the business for a long time, we were a little surprised to hear that.

Why did the end of this particular project elicit such a strong reaction?

Although she works constantly, she hasn’t had a hit in a few years. She is over 40 and she is taking it very personally that she was the star of the show but couldn’t draw an audience. She cried. It was a big blow to her ego.

Stop crying, Girl! You’re pretty and rich and talented and you have more work coming up! You’ll be fine!

    I don’t watch much TV anymore, so I don’t know who this is. I mean, I watch ID channel and a show on Oxygen called ‘Cold Justice’. Besides that, it’s an occasional show on Nat Geo or Animal Planet, and old reruns on TVLand.

    I don’t get attached to new shows anymore because they seem to get canceled. I like quirky shows and am still wondering why ‘The Good Guys’ , ‘Lie to Me’ and ‘Memphis Beat’ were canceled.

    Optional: All. The. Time. Not like throwing a fit, screaming and yelling or anything, but I get really bummed about tv shows being cancelled! I honestly have stopped watching a lot of network tv. I’ll catch up on shows that I’m interested in once they’ve been renewed because it seems like everything I like gets cancelled, often with no closure to the series. I’m still sad Pushing Daisies was canceled, lol

    Yes, I have been upset when I have invested a lot of time watching a show for it to only get cancel. I really wish that they would let a show wrap up for some closure.

    No idea on the actress. Two TVLAND shows that were cancelled really bummed me out. The Exes and Retired at 35. Both had great casts and the writing was terrific. Retired at 35 miscast the daughter with an actress that really did not have the flair and comedic timing of the other cast members. It killed the series in Season 2. I am perplexed as to why The Exes was cancelled. A really funny show that I miss.

    Drew Barrymore, Santa Clarita Diet. She recently said that this was her favorite project, and that doing the show after her divorce helped her cope. Understandable that she’d be upset.

    This is Vicky Lawrence. I feel bad for her that The Cool Kids was canceled. The premise was great for the first few episodes, then the writing went downhill. She was actually too young for the role. 100% not her fault. I would like to see her in something more worthy of her talents though.

    Candace Bergen. Sheesh, maybe she should have re-thought making all those liberal political statements right out of the gate this time around on “Murphy Brown.”

    Not upset over this at all… Hollywood needs to learn we don’t watch for political views, but for entertainment. SUPER SAD to see Game of Thrones and Big Bang come to an end.

    Splitting Up Together was cancelled today. Jenna’s very likable and I hope she gets a hit project soon.

    I was upset when the show Boomtown was cancelled.

    Yeah, Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money — they never recovered from the writer’s strike and they were good shows. Didn’t cry though, obviously.

    ‘The Fix’ and Robin Tunney? My guess because it popped up today as being cancelled on my news feed. I was gonna guess Mary McCormack from ‘The Kids Are Alright’ but that’s an ensemble show.

    Optional: I remember being ticked off as a teenager when ‘Tru Calling’ was cancelled. I’ll admit I cried when ‘Supernatural’ announced it was ending. But that had to do with remembering watching it with a parent that is no longer around as opposed to the actual show. Memories…

      The Fix is cancelled? Darn. It was the only new show I got into this season (even though the acting and scripts are horrendous!).

    I don’t blame her for being upset. She probably put a lot of work into her show and feels sad that audiences didn’t respond how she would have liked.

    I was really sad when Pushing Daisies got canceled. It was a great show that deserved more attention. It fell victim to the writer’s strike several years ago, if I recall.

    If she was crying, I’d venture to say it had more to do with the fact it was a groundbreaking show than she’s concerned about cash.

    Yes! My family loved The Kids Are Alright. They always cancel the good ones and keep mindless shows around.

    I like her and wanted to like the show but I didn’t. Talk shows are a really tough sell. Especially when you’re headlining alone. She’s famous in the business with a lot of well connected A- list friends but having them all as guests wasn’t enough to keep a show. I feel bad for her it didn’t work out I am sure it’s disappointing.

      I felt the same way, I love her on Instagram and on shows she has been on in the past, but it didn’t translate to her talk show. She’s great though, and she’ll land on her feet for sure.
