Nobody Wants Woody

[Blind Gossip] Many members of this ensemble TV show have gone on to big, exciting movie careers!

The show is a great training ground because you get to play a variety of characters and learn a lot about working under pressure and shifting gears quickly to accommodate rewrites.

So this cast member can expect a huge movie career after he’s done with the show, right?

He’s not drawing any interest from producers. He’s just kind of a one note actor and a little wooden compared to everyone around him. I don’t know what he’s going to do after this, but if he planned on being a movie star, I think he’s going to be really disappointed. Hope he realizes that this is probably his peak.

    The Motley Crue biopic was painful enough (the book was so much better) but Pete’s acting was even more painful. Except for his Update appearances, he’s terrible on SNL too.

    In five years I don’t think he’ll be alive.

      Nah, not Supernatural because the blind says the cast members of this show “have gone on to big, exciting movie careers.” So far, past cast members of Supernatural such as Sterling K. Brown and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have gone on to other big TV shows, not movies (This Is Us, the Walking Dead).

    Actor: Pete Davidson – SNL – he is a one stick act, keep waving the same stick and of course people will grow tired of it. Also Sadly he is not “moive star good looking” and he cant hold up a movie by himself.

    I’m guessing this is Pete Davidson, although calling him an actor is a bit of a stretch.

    He will be playing the straight man to someone else’s hilarity in movies like wedding crashers. He’ll be fine.

    SNL and Pete Davidson. He’s created no iconic characters like so many before him, and even now. Poor guy.

    Pete Davidson on SNL. Watched a video of him on YouTube earlier of him acknowledging his limited acting skills, saying that when he’s not on SNL, any ‘acting’ he’s doing is just a version of himself. He’ll probably be doing standup.

    Someone from SNL. Haven’t watched it in decades, so don’t know enough about anyone’s acting skills.

    I do recall a story a year or two back about the size of one cast member’s junk, so I’m gonna say Pete Davidson is Woody…

      I know, right? It was funny in the day, and has recovered from some serious rating slumps, but why is it still on? Is NBC trying to break some sort of longevity record by keeping it on the air? It has to cost more than it’s worth!

    Pete Davidson of SNL? I struggle to see what talent it is that he allegedly possesses. He seems rather thick to me.

    i assume this is a blind about “american horror story,” because the cast has had the opportunity to play multiple characters, not only per season, but also frequently per episode. but i don’t know who the actor is. evan peters is already kind of a “movie star” because of x-men… and it’s clearly not about a woman, anyway. sarah paulson and taissa farmiga went onto to huge movies.

    Had to think on this one but overthought it and thought it was something like This Is Us when it could acrtually be the obvious which is Saturday Night Live and the actor is Pete Davidson . He has star status now, obviously has John Hamm’s special gift , and is hilarious in that skit where he plays a stunted growth , aloof, live at home late 20s something adult but is that really a stretch or just him being himself. Yes I think this is Pete Davidson .

    TV is his best bet if not he’ll do a few indies, maybe a few action flicks but on a longer run it’s dead unless he gets a marvel gig or something.

      “you get to play a variety of characters” on GAME OF THRONES? Huh? And who from that show has gone on to huge movie success? It has got to be SNL if you look at the legacy.

      Yeah, I thought John Mulroney stepping in to help a younger comic was so kind. JM talks about his substance issues in his act so he knows the struggle first hand. But if Pete doesn’t really WANT the help, the help won’t help. But I do hope the best for him.

      I think he’ll do stand-up and hopefully take some acting classes. Hopefully also continue with mental health treatment. He could go on to do good work, but he’ll have to put the time in and learn the craft. Like @BluntSavage, I wish him the best and want him to be successful. He’s young. He has time. But he needs to stop with the arm candy to get attention, and put his focus on furthering his career.

      Agree with Alexis Rose. Hopefully Pete comes to the same conclusion and focuses on honing his craft and going far with it.

      I hope he succeeds as well. He seems way too nice for his own good, making him an easy target for scheming women. Maybe acting classes? Directing or writing? I’m all for addicts getting help and leading productive lives.
