The Big House

[Blind Gossip] This male movie star is trying to deflect some of the criticism away from himself over his new home.

Of course, there’s the usual brouhaha over the hypocrisy of his claiming to be an ardent environmentalist while simultaneously flying on private jets and owning an outrageously large home. Then there’s the neighbors’ complaints about the size of the house, the aesthetics, the impact on their town, etc.

So, how is he dealing with all this criticism? By throwing his wife under the bus!

He says that he would be happy living in a modest home, but she was the one who kept adding rooms so the plans just got bigger and bigger until it was three or four times the size he wanted. He can’t say no to her.

So it’s her fault the house is so big? We don’t know if he can’t say no because he wants to indulge her… or because she is the one wearing the pants in the family!

    It is a disgusting display of their wealth and greed, no person needs to live in a house that big, its impractical. Environmentally friendly my *. This bloke only cares about his image and thats it and hey if thats means throwing his wife under the bus who else will he cast aside for his own benefit?

    I was going to say Leonardo Dicaprio until i saw the “wife” part. My other guess would have been Kanye West and Kim but Kanye is not movie star. No idea who this is.

    This is definitely Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky. They’re building a huge $9 million mansion in Byron Bay that looks like a shopping mall

    PS the house looks like a shopping Center, no style at all.

    They are building that behemoth in Bryon Bay that is a total eyesore to the environment around it.

    Smallest is a studio, less than 300sqft. I’d be comfortable any size, provided I didn’t have to clean it myself. If I did, maybe 3k tops.

    I didn’t know he had made statements of being heavily concerned with environmentalism. I thought it was Leo at first but then it mentioned a wife. Anyway, rich celebrities with carbon footprints 1000x that of normal households have no business telling us commoners to scrimp and save when they themselves don’t. No one likes hypocrites.
