Race To The Bottom

[Blind Gossip] This incredibly wealthy celebrity is not handling anything well right now.

While our businessman publicly says that he is spending 100% of his time trying to resolve all the problems his companies are facing, that’s not quite the truth.

He is avoiding a lot of the important decision-making that needs to be done. He just points to someone and says, “This is all your fault. You fix this or you’re fired.” Then he walks away. He blames everyone except himself.

That’s not all.

He’s not “all there.” I don’t know if he is depressed or stoned or what. It’s like he’s in this fog of drugs and avoidance. I don’t do drugs but there is clearly something very, very wrong with him.

At this point, it’s a race to the bottom. I don’t know what’s going to happen next. We talk about this a lot at work. Will he crack up and get carted away in a straight jacket? Will he jump off a building because his ego can’t handle failure? Will he OD and wind up in rehab?  Or will the company get sold or go bankrupt? Everybody is scared.

Sounds like a really fun place to work. Get your resumes ready, people!

    It’s difficult enough to convince someone who’s not a wealthy industry titan to get help for their mental health… Musk in at least one case speculated publicly that he may have bipolar disorder – but the possibility of a diagnosis itself is frightenting, and in the case of someone like Musk, he may actually fear the medicine to treat it will dull his “genius”/creativity (i.e., mania). Drugs are a typical self-medicating tactic. Sad he’d let his legacy be destroyed by something treatable.

    It’s scary how if you’re very intelligent, you can either hit really high highs or low lows. Whereas if you’re not great then you’re just kind of average your whole life

    Gotta be elon musk and tesla. The company is facing lotsa probs and he seems like he’s blown a fuse andthe company will likely be toast in another 3-5 years.

    Some sort of takeover of Tesla to keep it going. Space will bankrupt him if he keeps going.

    Some of the businesses will go bankrupt and die (Space X, the Boring Company), others will be bought off and most likely survive (Tesla)

    Tesla will end up as a battery company, if it survives at all. Everything else will be sold off in pieces. I hope he gets his personal act together.

    Just remember, the US Govt has given 5 Billion of your tax dollars to him.

    I think if he doesn’t seek help he might just commit suicide (God forbid) or overdose and I think he may lose his business(es), I hope he gets help and fast.

    I truly, truly hope it all works out. I like that he swings for the fences with bold ideas. He may be manic in his approach it seems but at least he tried to think forward. Imagine if other rich business people looked forward with plans for innovation? Instead of just focusing on the now and making money?

    I saw on twitter a few weeks ago that he was offering free bitcoins to followers. I thought it was a scam, but it was his verified Twitter account.

      I wish he would, too. However, I’m guessing that he’s probably not at a point at which he’s willing to admit he needs help. I just hope he doesn’t die before realizing he needs to reach out to someone who could help him.

    I think he’s heading for a nervous breakdown of epic proportions (Sorry, Elon.). There is something wrong with his father, too, so Elon may well have inherited his instability. I also think that Tesla is gonna go belly up at some point in the not too distant future.

      I’m sorry about this, too. He’s really a visionary, and I just hope he gets help for whatever problems he’s having (drugs? mental issues?). We need future-oriented people like him, but we need them to be in their right minds.

      PhoenisRising: as someone with mental health issues, I thank you for your compassion. Elon has said he had an awful, abusive childhood so it wouldn’t surprise me if he had mental health issues and was self-medicating.

      I think he’s already having it and we’re spectators. A breakdown doesn’t necessarily appear suddenly, we are privy to seeing it as it happens.
