Not Showing Up

[Blind Gossip] As a flood of movies are released to capitalize on the 2017 holiday season, pay attention to which stars are and aren’t showing up for premieres, interviews, and red carpet appearances.

One of the handsome principal actors of this film is having trouble staying sober. He has only missed one appearance that we know of so far, but, given his history, it would be easy for him to continue to have “scheduling conflicts”or “sudden illnesses.”

Executives are worried about his ability to fulfill his marketing responsibilities for the film. No, they are not trying to get him into rehab or anything like that. They just need to get him through the marketing push.

    well, it’s not Zac Efron because he hasn’t missed his premiere, interviews, or red carpets.

    I think Oscar Isaac, if he really didn’t show up for the premiere in LA for the Last Jedi

    Unfortunately, I think this is Zac Efron as well. He’s had so many missteps…inept management, terrible movies, substance abuse issues…etc., etc. I think he will always find work but his time as someone of significance has unfortunately passed. Hopefully, he invested wisely.

      I thought it was Boyega who was a no show due to “missed connection” or some other excuse he blamed an airline on?

    I’ll vote Zac Efron for The Greatest Showman.

    Having a troubled actor work on your film is a mixed bag, IMHO. They need to show up for work, and work does include promotion of the film. So, a troubled actor would need to keep it together long enough to get the job done, or only party when they’re off the clock.

    No…film executives are not responsible for actor after the film is done. They’re not his friends. They’re his temporary bosses. They’re not responsible for his drinking problem. Actor’s friends and family should be the ones to help him.

    Optional: Not responsible before, during or after. It would be nice if they cared, but actors and actresses are just means to ends for the people really in charge.

      Totally agree. Ben Affleck is a normal looking guy, wouldn’t say handsome and although he got his teeth fixed, looking at his face in Good Will Hunting proves he never was the best looking.

      Anyway, I think it’s Ben too…he missed an event for Justice League recently.
