Actress Is Mentally Ill

[Media Take Out] We just got some shocking and explosive tea. A very popular actress/singer has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

We spoke with a former friend of the beauty who told us, “[Name redacted] has been suffering from mental illness for some time. Everyone knew, but now that she’s getting older it’s getting worse.”

The insider, who is worried for the young woman’s health and well being added, “She was taking medication, but she said that it messed with her ‘creative spirit’ so she stopped. Now she’s spiraling out of control.”

We’re told that behind the scenes the 20-something African American starlet is out of control. Sometimes doesn’t even make any sense – if someone doesn’t help her – it will end very badly.

Given the very sensitive nature of these claims, we’ve decided to leave this as a blind item.

    Keke Palmer, but she’s actually spoken about her struggles with mental illness previously so this isn’t some big secret.

    I’m a specialist in mental health and a few things are true
    1) Schizophrenia is most likely to emerge and have a “first break” between age 17-24. Can be triggered by stress, trauma, some drugs, or occur on its own
    2) inappropriate dress for weather is a big signifier of a detachment from reality/a psychotic process
    3) it doesn’t go away without medication and the longer and deeper the “decompensation” goes without medication the harder it is to walk back
    4) if it’s Keke her family…

    I’m 100% sure it’s Mischa Barton. There have been rumblings for a few years now that she’s not taking her mental illness seriously and that she’s distancing herself from her mum, whom she owns property with. Just like a physical illness you need serious and immediate help with mental illness and I truly wish her the best.

    Only guess I came up with was Azealia Banks but it says vey popular & not thinking very popular fits.

    Whoever this is I feel for them. Can’t imagine having such a diagnosis while in the public eye.

      Also wasn’t throwing shade at A. Banks. I do think she may have some sort of mental illness. I think her rants go beyond attention seeking to just out there. They’ve caused her a lot of backlash.

    Unfortunately, this sounds like Keke Palmer.

    When she had her own talk show she spoke about avoiding that young adult phase of foolishness that most child stars go through when trying to find themselves. People saw her as mature for her age because every move she made was well thought out and not attention seeking, then a year or so later she cut off her hair and started acting out.

    Anyone who is diagnosed SHOULD take their medicine, especially if they are schizophric . SMH

      Optional: I knew things weren’t right when I read her interview about the whole Trey Songz music video debacle. Even in the interview she sounded a bit off.

    This is tragic news to hear. It’s such an awful mental illness to have. cant think of any african american 20s singers though ? could it be my girl riri? And I dont follow news on her but she has worn some funny strange “clothes” of late. hope it isnt her though !!!

    I think this is Keke Palmer. Her behavior recently is bizarre. It is more Amanda Bynes than Britney Spears. She was walking around scantily dressed.

    You could blame it on being a child star but the truth is parents (regardless of what the child is doing – child star or not) needed to take steps to provide structure for their children.

    Pray for her.

    From the street walker looks to her need for attention lately, I wouldn’t have gone straight to schizophrenia but it makes sense. Sad since she’s talented and there aren’t many young Black starlets that young girls can look up to.

    Azealia Banks. I know she’s mostly a singer, but she has a film coming out called Coco and describes it: “The film stars Azealia Banks as a twentysomething female rapper from Brooklyn, New York who wants to pursue a music career”
    She’s always seemed a few cards short of a full deck.

    I thought all of her behavior suggested she had some undiagnosed medical issues. But then again what won’t people do for fame/infamy. It’s a little hard to tell sometimes. I wish her the very best, whoever it is.

    Very talented and charming but seems a little off with some of her clothes choices, wearing bikini in cold weather, long drawn out instagram captions. And shes around the age that the mental illness problems become more obvious

      Agree 100%. I don’t believe in the supernatural – everything is natural, but our understanding of how the universe works is still extremely limited. Meanwhile, do not mess with anything you don’t fully understand. Why risk it?

      Actually I agree 100% having experienced a friend going bonkers from playing with a board way back in the sixties! A very frightening time for all the friends! I’m scared of it till this day and Im 71 now!

    Azealia Banks, she’s been acting weird ie getting kicked out of Russell Crowe’s house, the chicken blood thing… Also, the younger you get diagnosed the worse the diagnosis. I feel bad for her. Meds are the only way to control it but eventually your neuro-receptors burn out (which is why being diagnosed young is also bad, too many years of meds at a young age they will eventually stop working) and she will dive head first into the fractured reality that is schizophrenia.

      Yep, I agree with you 100%. It’s sad because she also seems to have some weird thoughts on race relations stemming from her upbringing. I hope she can trust someone enough to help her.

      Seriously. Every time teenagers praise these grown up child stars as “queens” “empowering” etc I’m thinking – no, they’re very damaged. Miley, Keke, Kylie Jenner, etc etc.
