If you’ve ever seen the film White Chicks, there is a funny scene where actor Terry Crews sings A Thousand Miles to his “date.”

We happen to know that Terry Crews nailed that scene in the first take. ONE take! Amazing.

Did you know that A Thousand Miles is a blind item set to music?

In a recent interview with Vice, Vanessa Carlton said that she wrote the song about an actor from her school.

Vanessa Carlton was a student at Julliard in the 1990s. The time frame is a little vague because Carlton did not graduate. The actor she wrote the song about was there around the same time… and Vanessa had a huge crush on him! We don’t know if they ever dated.

Carlton declined to name her crush, but she did say that he became a well-known actor.

    I saw people pointing out in the documentary’s comments section that she never explicitly said “him” but “they” and apparently she’s bisexual so it could also be female

    Vanessa Carlton is bisexual, so there’s no reason the field of potential subjects of the song has to be limited to men

    If you watch the interview, she seems to very deliberately use gender-neutral pronouns. Vanessa Carlton came out as bisexual in 2010. I think it could be Sara Ramirez or Jessica Chastain.

    Dallas Roberts looks like my insurance guy. Matt Keesler looks like he’ll be starring in Trainspotting: The Documentary soon. Sam Witwer – straight as Cory Booker. Wes Bently is gorgeous but in a super Ted Bundy kind of way. Stephen Kunken is an actual alien.

    I did a little research. She started writing the song in 1998. Wes Bentley starred in American Beauty in 1997. He fits the time frame based on their age. I don’t get his appel but okay. Wes Bentley.

    That song will always remind me of White Chicks, Terry Crews was brilliant, they were all hilarious.
    She came out as bisexual so it might be a female so time frame gives us:

    Biggest crush was Marisa Tomei actually met her a few times we had mutual friends. Sadly, no love connection.
