Half And Half

[Blind Gossip] We’ve talked in the past about celebrities who did not feel comfortable with their assigned gender at birth and chose to transition later in life.

This one is a little different.

This is about a child from a celebrity family.

Currently, the mother is more involved in the child’s day-to-day life than the father.

The mother has always given the child the freedom to express themselves, and the child has grown up with a rather gender-bending look.

It is unclear if this all originated from the child and the mother is simply accepting, or if the mother has actually been encouraging or pushing the child in this direction for years.

In any case, you may be thinking that the child will eventually fully transition to the other gender.

Not so fast!

[They’ve] been talking about what it would be like to live half the time as male and half the time as female. Two separate identities so [they don’t] have to choose and [they don’t] have to have surgery.

We don’t know how that would work, but it is an interesting concept!

    Since the blind says celebrity & not actor, I’m going to say it’s Kourtney K & her eldest son Mason Kardashian-Disick.
    I think there’s definitely some pushing on her part, but doesn’t want to see him end up like his grandpa/ma Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner. Only the Kardashians would think half & half gender identity sounds like a good idea. The rest of the world believes living like that would drive one crazy.

    When I was 12-14 I wanted to be a boy, and dressed and identified as a boy. Never again in my life have I felt that, and I’m thankful I wasn’t pushed one way or the other. As an adult I’m on the complete end of the spectrum, I’m a girly girl. Mine was a puberty-denial phase, I wasn’t ready to be a woman so it pushed me to embrace the other gender. I speak solely for myself, it’s not always a phase. In case it is, don’t push your kids to make major decisions. Just support, don’t decide…

    Everybody loves to hate Angelina and Brad’s always the innocent one, but Shiloh started doing this when she was about three years old and Brad and Angie were still very much in love and very much involved. He fully supported Shiloh back then

    I can definitely see Angie moving from encouraging to pushing. While I can’t see Shiloh actually making a transition surgically, she will find her own niche. I think it will depend on her sexual orientation.

    Angelina & Brads oldest bio kid Shiloh. I think she will eventually transition to male, she has always seemed to want to look more male. I think Angelina is a nut job, but not sure if she is encouraging or pushing here, or just letting the kid “do her own weird thing” as she always did.

    If this is Pitt/Jolie then it would be in character for them to push without feeling guilty just for the publicity– but who knows. I’ve never heard about “half the time”, it sounds a bit stagey. Usually people just refer to themselves as fluid, not cut down the middle.

    What will happen? I fear Hollywood kids are so indoctrinated by their nutso parents that they will assume whatever identity they’ve been assigned to by mom.

    Shiloh/John. This has been her life. Angelina didn’t really dress her as a girly baby girl from birth so part of me thinks she’s influenced her. On the other hand most adults in this situation that are born into the wrong body have known since childhood. Maybe half and half is the way forward. It’s way more traumatic to have surgery then realise they may be wrong.

    Sadly, I think the Angelina pushed it, so she could be seen as a modern parent. I hope the child is able to reconcile who they want to be without any pressure and that they accept and love themselves either way.

    Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh. I think it sounds pretty sensible, all her kids seem pretty grounded (as much as they can be) , and Shiloh obviously feels comfortably with embracing both genders, she’s been dressing like that for ages, let her be, I can’t see her mother pushing her into it.

    Three celebrities come to mind:

    Brangelina, child being Shilo (or however you spell it).

    Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and her fiance, their youngest boy looks fluid.

    Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have all three of their girls look like boys… Wait! … They have three boys that look like girls. … One or the other.

    Seeing as were talking about one child from a famous family, I’m going to say Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as my first and primary guess.

    What they are suggesting is non-binary/gender fluidity.
    I believe their parents are just allowing the child to figure things out for themself, and that’s fine.

    Shiloh Pitt? Angie seems like the type to convince her kid she’s trans just for the attention. It’s weird to alternate playing a male and female. Just be yourself, wear and do what you want, and don’t get your nether regions operated on so you’ll have nothing to regret later. Simples.

    Optional: I remember her saying in an interview that her mom raised her & her brother with very little rules and much liberty, and that she wanted to raise her kids just the same. Umm no further comment lol.

    I think it’s great to be encouraging of your child’s identity, and I don’t know if Angelina was encouraging or pushy. I don’t see why the child has to decide now. AFAB people who want to transition can do so successfully later in life and the child doesn’t seem to have made up their mind yet.

    Shiloh has always presented as a tomboy with the potential to be an individual that is trans.

    The percentage of being the opposite gender is almost negligible throughout history regardless of culture so my guess is it’s encouraged. No negative judgments here on one’s true orientation. It seems to be the trendy and attention-getting option for an inordinately large percentage of celebrities though.

    can’t decide if this is shiloh/john pitt or willow smith, but i’m thinking the former?
    i had the opposite experience. my daughter was *such* a girly-girl (and as an agender person, that was a trip!)
    at 14, they moved towards becoming a boy, and my reticence was only because there had srsly been NO sign of it before.
    so…now i have a son, but a feminine dandy of a son, & i’m, like, “welp”? 🤷🏻
    i really hope this was pushed by the child. it’s not an easy thing to come out as a different…

    I think Angelina has encouraged rather than pushed. She has said in interviews that Shiloh has been exploring her identity since she was 3

    This sounds like Brad/Angie and Shiloh. I guess it’s better than have gender reassignment. She can still grow out of her Peter Pan days. I think they just don’t know yet but you can’t push either way. Good for them.

    Hollywood should be banned from raising children. Now if a girl is a tomboy, a celebridunce would say that kid is trans. Charlize and Jolie are guilty of this. I liked playing with Hotwheels as a girl.

    It’s not that weird, also, it’s the kid’s business. I assume this is one of the Jolie Pitt kids. My son transitioned and is now much happier than he was as a girl. Its a private and hard decision for anyone to make and parents who support their kids are important. There is a high rate of suicide in the trans population. Let them figure it out themselves. If they have supportive parents they are very lucky. Many trans kids do not.

    In photos of when Naomi and Liev were together, Sammy was dressed in boy’s clothes, and in a Architectural Digest Vlog on Liev’s apartment, Sammy was wearing boy’s outfits. In photos with Naomi, Sammy wearing more feminine outfits.

    I don’t think Angelina is pushing however I don’t fully think it’s all Shiloh’s idea either. Some people live their lives non-binary or gender non-conforming so it can be done.

    Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt about their child. I am not sure if she is accepting or encouraging, either way it is a difficult situation especially for a child who is in the spotlight. The Child will eventually need a lot of counseling no matter what and hopefully disappear from the spotlight and do what they want themselves without input from either parent.

    I believe Angelina is accepting. There’s lots of non-binary/genderfluid folks out there. With good family support and other available resources from the LGBTQIA+ community, Shiloh will be fine. They are quite young. No decisions need to be made now (or even later). Let them explore their gender identity.

    Who knows what’s happening? As long as the child is happy and guiding the process, I think it is OK, especially as this does not involve the need for any sort of medical or pharmaceutical intervention.

    Optnl: It sounds like a confusing situation and I wonder if half as one, then half as the other will make the child even more confused, or at least leave her friends confused? But postponing all physical changes sounds like an EXCELLENT idea to me because a 14 year old is too young to decide upon such an important change.

    No, I don’t think she pushes it. If it was Meghan Markle, I would believe she was influencing it for any attention. But, Angelina has had her heydey and has seemed to settle down and enjoy life with her family.

    I think this is the very pretty young lady, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.
    Something about her makes me think she would like to back away from the boyish outfits and hairstyle but she doesn’t want to let her mother down. Angelina has made such a big deal in the past about Shiloh wanting to dress like a boy and asking to be called “John” and I think maybe the girl is over it.

    What sounds like fun at six years old may not be all that appealing when you enter your teen years.

    This sounds like Angelina Jolie and her daughter (based on birth) Shiloh. As a parent, I wouldn’t care – I support my kids as long as what they are doing is not illegal.

    Kids have enough to deal with – they need their parents’ unconditional support.

    In terms of living as 2 genders – it can be done.

    In their professional life, they are male, in their personal life they are female or vice versa.

    Angeline and Brad parents of Shiloh. Kid doesn’t stand a chance of having any clue as to her own identity or self. Can you say “multiple personality disorder” to the extreme?
    Mom is a whackadoddle and pushing. First time kid has to deal with the real world without the protection of Mom, Shiloh will not understand and head straight to therapy, if she isn’t already there now.

    Who would expect a child to have a clue? That is what parents are supposed to be for. Kids aren’t a social…

    Mom Angelina is pushing. Children explore and should not be pushed to be the opposite gender. Changing genders is an adult decision once a person settles into life. I hope Shilo does as she wishes and explores half and half time if that is what she wants to do now. She needs to be able to not have the helicopter pressure parenting on her to be different so she can just be herself. Some parents nowadays want the gender bender kid for selfish attention-seeking reasons.

    Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. I hope she’s not encouraging Shilo to do this, but Angelina’s different and might think tomboyish tendencies mean something else entirely. We shopped in the boys department for one of my daughters for a year around 4th grade. I didn’t care one bit and just let her do her thing. She became more ‘girly’ by 8th grade wanting to wear skirts and apply makeup. I just went by her lead and she’s now in college and still loves feminine things. I don’t care either way.

    Optional: I hope the child is able to see a mental health doctor and/or a doctor that specializes in these types of issues to help the child come to their own decision about what is best for him/her. Will that happen? Probably not?

    Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. No doubt in my mind that Angelina pushed this agenda with Shiloh/John. She always has wanted to be so edgy. Hopefully Shiloh is able to live her authentic life and not be a product of her mothers wishes.

    Having seen Liz Hurley in her bikinis recently I think I would flip from male to female to look that good. Might have to shave my legs though.

    Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is my guess. I wouldn’t recommend half and half, sure way to lose their mind and their sanity.

    I think Angelina is encouraging, but in a supportive way, not a “doing this for news” way. When my kids expressed interest in something, I probably went overboard to make sure they could explore it to its fullest.

    I think that if both Brad and Angelina are decent parents, the kid will turn out ok. Good luck to all of them.
