Why This Musical Guy Wants A Divorce

[Blind Gossip] This musician may be getting a divorce. It is very complicated, but we will try to simplify it for you.

He and his wife are constantly fighting over religion. He has decided that he wants a different life for himself.

Basically, he wants to divorce his wife and his religion. Why now?

He is working through some trauma that happened to him when he was a child. He was assaulted by an adult member of [the church]. It has impacted him his entire life. His wife insists that he talk to someone in the church about it, but the church is the one that protected the abuser.

That has got to be a confusing situation for him.

His wife has a famous name, so she may be trying to protect her own family from being swept up in a scandal.

We wish our musician well in working through all this!

    Hopefully, he gets as far away from the cult as he can. If she can’t support him in that, he needs to leave her too. Getting help and trying to recover his mental health has to be his priority for now.

    Beck. Wife is the sister of Giovanni Ribisi, name Marissa. CO$ handles abuse horrible. Instead of outing the abuser, isolating them and letting the law handle it, they act like they have to hide it. How those adults treat children is a crime in itself. LRH treated children awfully in his writings.

    I hope he bolts. Quietly. But just walk.

    Beck. Complicated because in COS, the wife, children, all family members and friends in the “church” have to cut off contact with him. Messy with children involved-he will have partial custody at least. If the COS bends the rule on this for him and his wife’s family, that will not go unnoticed.

    He’ll be pressured to stay involved with the Scientology Church, but hopefully he will leave eventually. Leaving Scientology will also mean his marriage will be over.

      This was my first thought too.

      Good luck to him. He makes great music and shouldn’t be compelled to stick with a ‘religion’ at all.
      Any so-called religion that ‘forces’ someone adhere to them is no religion.

      this explains why someone has to divorce because of the religion. but they are both second generation scientology.
      must be hard if You facing loosing relatives and friends if You want to leave this special kind of church.

      This was my first thought as well. If it is Beck, I hope and pray that he finally gets away from that terrible CULT. Too bad Marissa is still blind to it. I hope he gets to see his child/ren, optimally, HE could get custody!! Good Luck to him!

      Definitely Beiber. I have worked with drug addicts and alcoholics for decades. Almost all have been abused in some way from childhood. Sometimes it was sexually, other times it was physical or verbal.
      He really needs intense counseling – BUT the counseling has to be done by someone who is very good. My heart broke when I heard he got married because he really need to get this counseling before involving someone else. Hopefully she doesn’t get pregnant – that would only make things worse.

      Bieber is with his pastor more than Hailey and he gone specifically to his pastor for counseling as they did their premarital counseling per his request ( Biebers). I do not see him all of a sudden changing his mind, and I think he introduced Hillson to Hailey
