[Blind Gossip] There were lots of female celebrities who got very short haircuts – or even shaved their heads – this summer.

Some said it was a style statement, some said it was for the heat, some said it was for a role, some said it was for solidarity with an ill person.

One of them is lying.

She actually got lice. Twice. It freaked her out so much that the second time she said, “Just cut it all off!”

    Kate did it for a movie role. That chick is so desperate to get back into A list territory, she’d even shave her head, which is why she did it. She is way, way, way too vain to shave her head, because of lice. She has money. All she’d have to do it go to a hairdresser to get them removed…or a home remedy. If it comes back, you need to find out if your children are the one’s giving it to you.

    Yes. I had them when I was a kid. It was a super easy fix.

    I can actually see Kate Hudson saying “Chop it all off!”

    I had waist length hair in high school. Even went to boarding school and avoided lice. I used to wash once a week with tea tree oil just to keep them at bay, but I don’t know how I avoided it when so many others got lice.

    My kids had lice in 4th / 3rd grades. I still shudder at the thought. PTL for the Hair Faires in Manhattan!

    Yes weve had lice from school

    A Robi comb- electrocutes the lice is great- no shampooing etc, Just run the Robi comb thru your hair for several nights gets rid of them.

    I say Kate Hudson b/c she’s the only one with kids.

    Poor girl! I’m guessing Cara Delvigni, as she doesn’t seem real happy with her ‘do, although she has done well with it. I like her inventiveness!

    Nope, thankfully nit. (Hah, typo and it stays!) But I understand that they spread easily and with everyone all over the place on those yachts this summer, I guess I’m not surprised.

    I guess I’ll go w/ Kate Hudson on this one.

    My kid has had it; had a mobile home-comber come out to the house. Not cheap, but it’s really the only effective way to get rid of lice; over-the-counter treatments haven’t worked in over a decade — and who wants to dump a bunch of caustic chemicals on your kid’s head, anyway. Prevention? Lice hate dirty hair or hair w/ product and wearing your hair up helps.

    I used to get it when I was little. It was awful. My kids haven’t gotten it so far but it’s a rite of passage so I don’t think it’s a big deal

    Kate Hudson? She’s the last person I would have thought would shave her head.
    My stepdaughter got lice years ago. Thank goodness it was while her mother had her. I would have freaked. And shaved her head!

    Kathy G. I just assumed it was to garner sympathy after the Trump thing. No need to shave your head after lice.

    I’m going with Katy Perry, since kids would be at her shows, and taking selfies with others is known to spread lice.
    Fairy Tales Terminator Lice & Nit Comb is a godsend since Texas has the “Super Lice”, and I didn’t want to use pesticides on us anyways. It takes effort and diligence, but within a week, pure freedom so sweet it made me cry being itch-free. I haven’t had a problem since, yet I keep it in my drawer, next to my Bible, just in case…

    Kathy Griffin. Maybe in solidarity with her sister who has cancer, but who really knows. I can’t think of any other celebrity who cut their hair short except Katy Perry and that happened because she took scissors to her hair and the only way the hairdresser could salvage it was to give her a cropped style.

      You don’t get lice because you’re “dirty.” They love clean hair that’s not greasy, actually.

      Lice don’t like dirty hair. You’re more likely to catch them if you shampoo daily.

      That’s actually a common misconception that lice like dirty hair. Studies show they like clean hair too. If one of her kids had it, it makes sense that she got it too. It doesn’t mean they are dirty.

      NOBODY got lice when I was in school, I didn’t even know what they were. It’s very different now.

    I know the best guess is Kathy Griffin because of the read hair pic, but I think there is also a good chance it’s Kate Hudson. She has kids and that’s usually where adults get it. Plus, she’s not really “rocking” it. She immediately got a wig.

      I thought I saw a picture of her with her sister who has cancer and lost her hair, so that is why she shaved her hair.

    My young school age daughter had hair to her waist and went through multiple rounds of lice, Foolproof treatment was to soak her hair with regular conditioner and comb through all her hair with a lice comb, every night for a month. It is a nightmare!

      If you put tea tree oil in her shampoo or conditioner, it’ll help to keep them away. My kid’s school nurse gave me that tip and he never got them again.
