[Blind Gossip] When this wholesome celebrity pops up on your TV screen trying to convince you that eating the foods from weight-loss company X is responsible for her new body, your eyes should roll hard to the back of your head.
Sure, the diet works… if you couple it with more than one round of liposuction, a semi-starvation diet, a personal trainer, a chef, and multiple body sculpting procedures. However, we doubt our celebrity will ever mention those things in the commercials.

[Optional] Do you believe the celebrities on those weight-loss commercials?
Definitely Marie Osmond
Definitely Marie Osmond
I don’t believe this works at all. Several years ago, I tried Nutrisystem. The food tasted like the powdery stuff I made in my easy bake oven as a kid. I can’t imagine there was any nutrition in it.
Marie Osmond. No, I don’t believe any of the commercials. Do they think we are all simple-minded idiots who look at Our Betters flogging their cans of goo, special pills or miracle diets, and that we think ‘well, if it works for THEM, it’s sure good ’nuff fer ME, too!’ Maybe for the Jerry Springer crowd.
Carolina Girl says
Has to be Jessica Simpson. “Wholesome” Christian girl who waited until marriage to lose her virginity…has been intagramming bikini pics/see through dresses showcasing her “new” body. She looks great…but I’m sorry, after 2 kids back to back it takes a lot more than a diet to look that that.
Not Marie Osmond! Say it ain’t so, I love her!
Wholesome Celebrity: Alyssa Milano comes to mind first
Do I believe these celebrity endorsers? Nope, no way would they eat these disgusting pre-packaged foods when they can afford a private chef.
I’ll go with Marie Osmond for $20. Celebrity weight loss ads only impress me if they suggest I eat chocolate EVERY day after every meal.
Thinking it’s Marie Osmond. No, I do not.
No, celebrity endorsements have no effect on whether I use a product.
Wholesome Celebrity – Marie Osmond, Nutrisytem
Optional – nope!!
Do I believe them? Not for one second.
Oprah…the fakest of the fake.
Alyssa Milano is in that Atkins commercial.
No, I don’t believe the celebs in the ads. They can afford chefs, plastic surgery, etc..,so I think when they’re in those ads it’s all crap.
I don’t believe anything they say.
Very Unseemly says
Marie Osmond – clue was the wholesome and eyerolling to the back of your head like she did on Dancing With The Stars
Marie Osmond. Clue is “wholesome”.
No I don’t believe any of them or their commercials.
Kirsti Alley…I bet!
The only one I believe got the weight off honestly is Valerie Bertinelli. I could be wrong here…but she just looks so earnest.
picky picky says
I’m guessing Marie Osmond. She does ads for Nutrisystem
“wholesome” is the hint
Becky S says
Gotta be wholesome Marie Osmond.
I never believe any of them. To narrow it does to someone “wholesome” and someone rather new to being a spokesperson would be Oprah “I eat bread everyday!!! Winfrey.
Marie Osmond. Doesn’t even look like her anymore from all the face lifts and Botox
No. Most lose weight the liposuction way.
Marie Osmond for Nurti Systens?
marie planning for Jenny.
If it’s supposed to be O- I don’t buy her as wholesome. nor do I trust celebrity endorsements.
Wholesome Celebrity: Kirstie Alley
[Optional] Do you believe the celebrities on those weight-loss commercials? Rarely.
Wholesome Celebrity: Marie Osmond
It’s all an industry….focused on profits, not making people healthy. Tied to the pharmaceutical industry as well. Eat real food and your body will be the size it was intended to be. Eat real food and you’ll likely not have to worry about your glucose levels or good/bad cholesterol scores. EAT REAL FOOD.
Don’t believe any of those endorsements
Oprah “I love bread!” Winfrey
and no I dont believe those on weight loss commercials, its all about money and exposure for them
Vidalia Q Intrigue says
Oprah. I think it’s laughable how she says she “finally” discovered the solution when WW has been around forever
Wholesome Celebrity: Marie “She’s a Little Bit Country” Osmond
[Optional] Do you believe the celebrities on those weight-loss commercials? No.
Marie Osmond! Otherwise known as the only “wholesome” celebrity shilling that crap.
Well, the word “wholesome” makes me believe that this is Marie Osmond for Nutrisystem.
She won’t mention the Spanx, either.
Candace Cameron Bure
Alyssa Milano and Nutrisystem.
Oprah endorsing Weight Watchers
Marie Osmond. She is lipo’d and Botoxed within an inch of her life!
Marie Osmond if it’s a spokesperson we’ve already seen. IDK if it’s someone to come that we haven’t seen yet. No, I do not believe any of them going as far back as Suzanne Somers and the Thigh Master. Even she, way back then, in the 80s or 90s got busted having had lipo on her hips and thighs. And her response was the ultimate: “I have to smooth thighs and hips to effectively sell the Thigh Master.” It didn’t occur to her to actually use the thing she was selling to get those…
Marie Osmond. Kirstie Alley and Oprah wouldn’t be called wholesome.
The only person I can think of is Marie Osmond. She’s had a face lift, breast enhancement, and liposuction on her stomach. Probably more that’s not obvious.
No, I don’t believe celebrities on weight-loss commercials.
Marie Osmond– she is not kidding anybody. I thought she looked good at first with the weight loss, but she is looking “manufactured” lately–she needs to lay off!
spunkie brewster says
(They are all phonies)
Marie Osmond for Nutrisystem. She does look pretty great and I totally agree – it’s not just from eating some pre-packaged meals.
Wholesome Celebrity: Oprah Winfrey for Weight Watchers
I’ve learned not to believe any celeb endorsing any product. It’s all lies.
Wholesome celebrity: Marie Osmond. No, I don’t for all the reasons you’ve listed.
No, I don’t believe celebrity promotions of *anything*
Kim Kardashian isn’t wholesome LOL!!
Everyone knows celebs only do things for $
Hi Marie Osmond!
Gotta be Marie Osmond/Nutrisystem. Kirstie Alley for Jenny Craig is probably not ever going to be described as “wholesome” (coke habit and Scientology be d****d), and Weight Watchers doesn’t make you buy their own line of food, so Oprah is out. Can’t think of any other celebuspeakers who do weight loss…
Do I believe them? Generally not – even *I* could lose weight if I could afford a personal trainer and six hours in the gym every day!
Although I keep thinking Valerie Bertenelli is pretty wholesome too but is she a spokesperson anymore. Wholesome IS Marie over Oprah.
Valerie also had a MAJOR c*ke problem back in the day. She’s hardly wholesome
Marie Osmand. eyes rolling to the back of your head is a reference to her doll line.
Well, Oprah said she loves bread, and it looks like she’s gained weight since then, so…maybe I believe her that she does love bread. but that’s about it.
I was going to say Sharon Osbourne, but I don’t think she is wholesome.
I would say Marie Osmond as a best bet. She does look wonderful
Optional : Not all of them, but some of them.
Optional: Noo personal trainers and surgeries make up most of their diets. Plus most of them don’t live the lives we do, so what works for them might not work for me or you.
Marie Osmond, maybe?
No, I think it’s all a big sham.
Marie Osmond for Jenny Craig?
No, I don’t believe the weight loss companies the celebrities represent are wholly responsible for their weight loss. They probably have a lot of surgical help.
Marie Osmond since she is considered wholesome.
Marie Osmond. No, I don’t believe the commercials.
That is a good guess too! Why would ANYONE ever believe celebs? I mean the companies themselves should be leery of using them. We ALL know they can afford to be thin. yes trainers, lipo, lifestyle, good genetics to begin with (for most) as well as a million other tricks. I’d NEVER believe Jenny Craig was what made a celeb thin… or any other diet. I’d think their MONEY did!
Marie Osmond? oddly enough, i saw a commercial of her’s the other day and thought the same thing – there is no way she hasn’t had work done.
Yes this. Wholesome image.
I thought the same when I saw it yesterday. Funny this popped up today.
She conveniently omits that her big weight loss started when she was on ‘Dancing With The Stars.” That intense, consistent exercise is what did it. THEN, she went to whatever weight loss group.
‘Couple’ Donnie & Marie
yes i think its her
My first thought, too.
