[Blind Gossip] When this wholesome celebrity pops up on your TV screen trying to convince you that eating the foods from weight-loss company X is responsible for her new body, your eyes should roll hard to the back of your head.
Sure, the diet works… if you couple it with more than one round of liposuction, a semi-starvation diet, a personal trainer, a chef, and multiple body sculpting procedures. However, we doubt our celebrity will ever mention those things in the commercials.

I don’t believe this works at all. Several years ago, I tried Nutrisystem. The food tasted like the powdery stuff I made in my easy bake oven as a kid. I can’t imagine there was any nutrition in it.
Katmandu says
Marie Osmond. No, I don’t believe any of the commercials. Do they think we are all simple-minded idiots who look at Our Betters flogging their cans of goo, special pills or miracle diets, and that we think ‘well, if it works for THEM, it’s sure good ’nuff fer ME, too!’ Maybe for the Jerry Springer crowd.

It’s all an industry….focused on profits, not making people healthy. Tied to the pharmaceutical industry as well. Eat real food and your body will be the size it was intended to be. Eat real food and you’ll likely not have to worry about your glucose levels or good/bad cholesterol scores. EAT REAL FOOD.

Marie Osmond if it’s a spokesperson we’ve already seen. IDK if it’s someone to come that we haven’t seen yet. No, I do not believe any of them going as far back as Suzanne Somers and the Thigh Master. Even she, way back then, in the 80s or 90s got busted having had lipo on her hips and thighs. And her response was the ultimate: “I have to smooth thighs and hips to effectively sell the Thigh Master.” It didn’t occur to her to actually use the thing she was selling to get those…

Gotta be Marie Osmond/Nutrisystem. Kirstie Alley for Jenny Craig is probably not ever going to be described as “wholesome” (coke habit and Scientology be d****d), and Weight Watchers doesn’t make you buy their own line of food, so Oprah is out. Can’t think of any other celebuspeakers who do weight loss…
Do I believe them? Generally not – even *I* could lose weight if I could afford a personal trainer and six hours in the gym every day!

That is a good guess too! Why would ANYONE ever believe celebs? I mean the companies themselves should be leery of using them. We ALL know they can afford to be thin. yes trainers, lipo, lifestyle, good genetics to begin with (for most) as well as a million other tricks. I’d NEVER believe Jenny Craig was what made a celeb thin… or any other diet. I’d think their MONEY did!
