[Blind Gossip] While Paris Hilton has called off her wedding to actor Chris Zylka, there is another celebrity wedding that is absolutely going forward!

His father is the one behind everything. It’s not a love match. It’s a business match. They will both go through with it because it is going to help both of their careers. His father said, “This wedding is going to happen… no matter what!”

The father has been known to be very influential in his kids’ lives and careers in the past, so it is not surprising that he is influencing this life event as well.

    Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. That whole wedding screams “PR” to me, not love- they apparently have sponsors for the wedding, which is just weird.

    I fail to see how this wedding is helping their careers though. Even with this, Jonas doesn’t get much attention anyway and is pretty much a has-been, and Priyanka hasn’t done much since her show got canceled. She was signed for a movie with Chris Pratt, then the movie got canceled before it even started.

    Fame is destructive enough – why would you deny yourself the potential to have a true life-partner who will support you through difficult times (vs. worrying about losing IG followers)? It’s baffling. Fame isn’t going to comfort you when you’re sick, or make you tea on a cold day, or bring you flowers just because… It’s no surprise fame often goes hand-in-hand with addiction, but success doesn’t inherently mean losing your soul.

      Me too. I mean, does Nick even get that much attention anymore now that he is not performing with his brothers? Enough attention to go along with a MARRIAGE? I would think that she would go for someone who is more famous.

      It is PR, no love to it. They give off no sparkle or heat and in fact the Jonas brothers are so “D” list and blah, I’m not sure what chopra is getting from this, she looks like a joke.

      I agree with you, @TayTay25. I can’t understand how this is supposedly “helping their careers” either. (Unless it’s to put-to-bed all those “gay” rumors about Nick?) It sounds like a pretty stupid reason to get married. I doubt it will last. And I’m no fan of such thirsty fame-*!

      And also, I think they make a very ODD couple. They don’t seem to “fit” together. All very strange and THIRSTY!
