The Reunion

man coffee 1[Blind Gossip] The fans of this classic television show have been longing for a reunion of the cast for a long time. It came close to happening. Then one the the actors threw some cold water on the excitement, stating that he was not available.

We thought it was odd that every effort wasn’t being made to accommodate him. We weren’t the only ones.

Look, this show MADE every one of their freaking careers! They know that them all being in the same place at the same time will be a classic photo op that will be on the front page of every newspaper, every magazine, every blog. It will help every one of them and every one of their projects, including his little project, and he knows it. His producers are encouraging him to go because it will help them sell tickets. He’s been offered a private jet that will have him back and forth in less than a day. He’ll be there.

Although it’s tiring doing that much travel in one day, we’re sure his friends will have a hot cup of coffee waiting for him!

    Matthew Perry, “Friends”.

    I don’t much care — as was said above, they’re all still kicking around Hollywood in highly visible projects, so there’s no “where are they now” angle to kick up any interest. But I grant that enough people will care about it that he obviously should do it, even if only as a promotional stunt for the play.

    Wasn’t into friends the first time round and absolutely no interest now. Haven’t they all made enough $$$$. Just plain greedy.

    Can someone please explain to me WHY Jennifer Aniston is considered A list?? I’ve never understood it. No stellar acting roles, no major achievements since the series ended…. is it for being married for awhile to Brad Pitt???

    Matthew Perry said he couldn’t do it because he is in London doing a play. However ,since they offered to fly him in , I wonder if there could be another reason why he refused to attend the reunion?

    Friends is one of my all time favorite shows, and I would love to see the entire cast reunited , even if it’s just for 2 hours. But I wouldn’t care if they don’t.

    No, not particularly. They were mediocre sitcom actors, and the attention paid to them is far in excess of their talents.

    I can’t imagine this being anything else than Friends with all the clues. I’ve heard there was going to be a reunion to honor the director. The thing I don’t get is which guy it could be. If it said girl instead, I’d totally think Jen because she’s actually A-list. But the three guys? Who cares? What do they even DO now and why would producers cater to any of them??

    Friends, guessing the actor is David Schwimmer. I have never seen an episode so I don’t care one way or the other.

    No, I don’t care. I only watched a couple episodes of Friends and never once laughed out loud. I thought it was pretty stupid and the characters were mostly unlikable.

    I’m guessing it’s David Schwimmer from Friends. He’s always been the reluctant one for these reunion proposals. It would be nice to see them together again, but if he has to be pushed this hard it takes the fun out of it. Sounds like he’s a little full of himself.

    Optional: Of COURSE. Friends was a revolutionary show — I can’t believe I never considered watching it until December 2015…it’s a legendary piece of comic gold.

    Despite what the media may paint as a “frosty”, no-longer-close relationship between the Friends, it’s very clear that they’re all more close than they’re letting on.

    They all co-star on one another’s shows, not to mention the appearance of David Schwimmer as a guest star on Matt…

    I really would like to see a reunion show because I loved that show and will still watch reruns of it. However, I was under the impression that this is NOT a ‘reunion’ show, more of a tribute to the director, or producer (whatever). So in this case, I could care less.

    I would only care if it is a true reunion of the characters. If it is just Jennifer, Matt, Matthew, Courtney, Lisa, and David as themselves then it is not a real reunion. I could search the internet to find out what they are doing.

    I was only a fair weather fan when the show was on, so I don’t have a strong opinion about the reunion. I suppose I’m a little glad for the hardcore fans, but I already know what Jennifer Aniston is up to these days and don’t care what David Schwimmer is doing.

    I loved Friends back in the early seasons, but the show got so stale during the latter ones, IMHO. Liked the clues, Ace…” friends having coffee waiting” … I always wished I could hang out at Central Perk too, Seemed like the coolest place ever! 🙂

    Do I care? No and. I really don’t understand why the show is such a phenomenon. And I am old enough or the same type of generation that saw the shows first run. It’s not like they all disappeared off the face of the earth. Courtney and Jennifer have been in tabloid rotation since the show went off the air. They’ve also done other things. Everyone has had a career after the show so it’s not like we never saw them again.

      to this day I still call him Chanandler Bong from that episode where the guys won the apartment in a trivia contest. “Actually it’s Miss Chanandler Bong”.

      He said on The Graham Norton Show that he will introduce them from London. The show is not really about “Friends”, it’s about one of the directors James Burrows being honored by NBC. It’s a tribute to him, not Friends.

    Friends. I was never a huge fan. Courtney Cox was so bad it made me cringe. By the end, they all became the same character. I never got the hype. I thought Matthew Perry was the best part of the show. Lisa Kudrow is talented. But that’s it. I couldn’t care less.

    Do you care if the cast reunites?: Couldn’t care less. And if I were him, I’d skip it just to be a jerk, even if it was convenient to be there. It is ridiculous how badly people want to see them together again.

    Nope, it’s just not interesting. There are no kids to see all grown up, etc. We still see all 6 of them regularly, so there’s no “where are they now” moment to be had.
