The Not Ready Answer

[Blind Gossip] When this famous singer is asked about her personal life, she feels an obligation to respond.

After all, her fans were so so kind to her after a tragic life event a few years ago!

So when she is asked about her love life, she gives an answer.  She says she is just not ready to date right now.

It’s not a truthful answer.

She actually is dating. She just doesn’t want to talk about who she is dating!

You see, she has had the same girlfriend for years. Yes, even when she was married to that man and having his child/ren.

    Celine Dion. It’s up to her if she wants to go public with her sexuality (which really, does it matter), just like it’s up to her girlfriend who stays in a relationship where her partner may never go public.

    Celine Dion. Just recently did an interview saying she wasn’t ready to date after her husband died.

    Not very surprised- there have been rumors for years about her sexuality, and her relationship with her husband seemed weird. She may have loved him, but she was with him when she was extremely young and he may have been more of a father figure. Plus, he helped her career so of course she’d stay with him.

      I always thought her relationship with her husband was creepy and weird too, especially the part about their fertility problems. And the thing everyone keeps forgetting is that she broke up Rene’s marriage, which is a really big deal to older Catholics. So if her parents could learn to live with that, why not this?

    celine dion…. tragic event was her husband and brother dying of cancer within 2 days of each other her family is very catholic maybe after her parents pass away…….so sad she can’t be her true self

    If she doesn’t, maybe it’s that her younger children are not yet aware of her lifestyle? Or maybe she fears losing some fans and their love if she did come out?

    Celine Dion. It’s a very personal decision whether to come out or not, but she’s so successful at this point I don’t think it would hurt her career, and it would be so much healthier for her. All her recent mental health and weight issues have to be tied in with living in the closet all the time. I hope she does, just for her own sake.

    After a recent conversation with my hairdresser I now totally understand why people dont come out. Apart from it being nobody’s business and shouldn’t matter anyway, there are so many many places all over the world that still punish people for being gay, even executing some. Part of her job is travelling for concerts and special appearances for rich royals in these countries so it would be foolish for her to come out.

I believe that today’s climate has changed so much, she would be embraced rather than rejected. If you look close at the Paris photos, there’s always this one woman in the background and I thought it was her girlfriend. I never got the straight vibe from Celine anyways…not even when her husband was alive.

    Yes! Why is she hesitating at this point? It can’t be for the money since she’s loaded and I’m sure her kids would be fine with it since they probably see her girlfriend around all the time. The only reason I can think of is she thinks it would upset her mother who is elderly and a strict Catholic.

    There’s absolutely no reason why she shouldn’t be able to come out. Her career is established and she’s not a young pop star (not that any of that should matter, but whatever). It might actually re-ignite interest in her and her music, since there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

      Most people seem to think it is Celine Dion – i would seriously never have guessed.

    I don’t think Celine Dion will come out. I am sure her husband knew, but that was mainly a business arrangement. She thinks she has too much to loose if she comes out. I don’t agree with her – I think people would love her regardless – but no, not an option for her. Sad.

    Celine isn’t in her heyday at the top of the charts anymore. Her husband died a few years ago, so she should feel free to live her truth and be herself. K.D. Lang and Melissa Etheridge came out and lived to tell the tale with no regrets.
    Celine’s heart will go on… beating… less stressfully, if she faced the world head on.

    Nobody should pressure her to come out. Famous people especially should come out or not when they are ready because of the scrutiny that comes with it. For her at least though she would probably be applauded since she is very loved in the lgbt community from what I read.

    Yes, she should come out. It is obvious her kids know. Trying to keep it hidden just keeps the whispers. This isn’t 1950. Do an interview, come out with a carefully worded statement and say you will choose to keep your private life private – you are happy and wish everyone else is as fortunate as you are in having 2 great loves of your life.

      I think it might be about her religion and her family, who is also very devout. Honestly, the truth would make her marriage seem a lot less creepy and pedophile-ish.

      I cannot believe that almost all these comments listed Celine Dion. I had no idea. I thought her husband was the love of her life. I’m actually relieved to hear that she didn’t dedicate her entire existence to a married father she met when she was 12.
