[Blind Gossip] Rekindling an old romance can be sweet. However, repeating certain milestones of that relationship might not always be welcome!

This celebrity couple is engaged. It’s not the first time.

However, this time around, she knew the proposal was coming!

She definitely knew that he was planning on proposing this time. She had to jump in though, to make sure he didn’t mess it up.

He’s an actor, so he certainly knows how to memorize a script and perform. Why did she think that he was going to mess it up?

It turns out that she got wind of his plan.

He thought it would be cute to sort of replicate the first time he proposed to her. It involved pizza and his mom and flowers and even though it was very modest it was also very sweet.

 She vetoed that plan.

She wasn’t mean about it or anything like that. It was more like,”Hey, I’m so glad we’re not repeating the mistakes of the past. Our lives are different now and we’re smarter now and we know that we need to be doing everything differently this time around. Ev. Ry. Thing.”

He got the message.

Our bride-to-be might have had humble beginnings, but she sure does like to live life in a big way now.

When you’re shopping for big houses and big rings, a small, modest proposal plan involving pizza and mom and flowers might not cut it.

It would have been cute though, right?

    Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. I think his plan was very cute & sweet but I can see that not repeating the first, doomed proposal might be wise. Wanting it to be a big, expensive affair is another thing. I am not sure why JLo thought that sharing how Ben proposed while she was in the bathtub was appropriate or better than his plan. It doesn’t tally with a big to-do, so either they nixed the expensive plan or else she is BSing about him proposing while she was taking a bath.

      We are going to be subjected to daily posed staged photo ops by this woman for the next 2 years. She could save a lot of time and energy by taking the photo ops she posted with A Rod, photoshopping Bens’s head photo in, and using those. I’m just sayin’.

    I think he doesn’t want to get married. He knows he’s not good at it. She isn’t either but she doesn’t want to admit that. I think she needs a ring from him to show everyone she’s desirable and they are Serious but I think a wedding is not in the cards once again. He is still not sober and that will once again be the breaking point.

    Jlo and Ben Affleck. I don’t think they wouldn’t get to the wedding. I just get a bad vibe from them. Ben and Jlo have been putting an act and people are getting tried of them, well Jlo anyway. Plus Ben might be lying about being sober. Jlo is enabler. She is the type of person that will look the other way to get what she wants. Poor Ben. Hope Jen G will be there to help him.

    Seriously, isn’t she embarrassed? She was just engaged to someone else! I do think her and Ben care a lot about each other but my goodness, she is my age and I can’t believe how many rings she has.

      Agreed… she has 0 shame about going on her sixth engagement, she’s on a repeat cycle. She’s clearly a fantasist.

    If they make it 10 years, they’ll make it. I think they actually really enjoy each other’s company, and they built a friendship in the ashes of their last relationship, and neither has any illusions what the other is like at this point,. If he can keep his demons at bay, I think they’ll defy the odds. They didn’t break up the first time b/c they weren’t in love, or weren’t compatible, and neither has anything to prove to anyone now.

    Yes they’ll get married, they cant have another failed engagement. They wont stay married though, his addictions will see to that. It was funny though watching super health conscious JLo chomping down on a greasy burger, to look “modest”.

    This must be BENNIFER 3 or BENNIFER 4.

    Having been just engaged to someone else ten months ago, Jennifer Lopez seems to rely on having herself appear desirable and romantic. I would imagine she’s not too happy with their repeat engagement not getting the press coverage they were hoping for.

    I will guess that Ben A and Jennifer will have an extended public engagement and quietly breakup about three weeks after their next movies are released.

    Three weeks later she’ll have a new…

      I was wondering how long ago was it that she was still engaged to A-Rod. Turns out, they broke up less than a year ago! I don’t know how someone can fall “in love” and out so quickly!

      At least, she can’t parade Ben’s kids around with her own to show what a big happy family they around like she did with A-Rod’s kids. No way Jennifer Garner would stand for that.

    JLo and Affleck. They might make it down the aisle – she’ll probably rush it – but they won’t last.
    She chases publicity, he doesn’t. It destroyed them last time and it will again, especially if he falls off the wagon.

      I feel like her engagements have often lasted longer than her marriages, and then when a marriage ends, she goes from one relationship to another.

    [Optional] It can only last as long as he doesn’t get caught Cheating/Drinking/Gambling. Not convinced he has it in him. And given what went down with Ana- who seemed more down-to-earth than JLo- he likes his life captured on camera no matter who he’s with.

    Hard to believe he won’t slip up & embarrass her publicly again- maybe with another 20 something from a dating site. If you’re not public with relationships, there’ll be less drama when you split.

    Benifer! I actually like them as a couple, whether it’s a publicity stunt or not. Ben is not one of my favourite people, but he seems happier and more grounded with JLo, and she’s always in control, of herself and him (I think). And it seems to be working for them.

    JLo and Ben. I would think that would be a red flag that someone tells you how to propose to them – very controlling. I think she just likes to be engaged, so I predict they will stay engaged for a while before they break up again.

    Bennifer, of course. No, I think she has a point about it being different, however, it shouldn’t be too over-the-top. And they shouldn’t try to compete with other recent proposals (Travis/Kortney). It’s not a competition, after all. Like Travis/Kortney, I doubt they’ll make it down the isle. I wouldn’t think many H’wood couples last very long.

    I don’t think they will stay married. There is something really off-putting about both of them. They need to spend time focusing on their children and not constantly trying to be in a relationship.

      Jennifer Garner seems way too classy to ever comment, but when this marriage (if they even make it that far) goes belly-up in a few short years, she’s probably going to laugh her head off in private.

    JLo obviously had this planned out, she wore that green shirt to match the green ring so she could say green is her favorite color.

    I feel like this time they will get married. To her he’s the one that got away and I think he’s ready for her now.

    Jlo is a little long in the tooth for a big proposal from Ben, again..Isn’t this her 10th ring…Think of the poor kids on both sides…Jens kids were very close to A-rods. girls….At Jlo’s age and Bens age a big wedding would be tacky and gross…The new green ring is ugly…He should have bought a large emerald circled with diamonds…Money doesn’t buy class…This will not last…

    The sum of this equation is definitely bigger then it’s parts. I’ve never been crazy about him but I’m rooting for them to get married and live happily ever after.
