Reading Is Fundamental

[Blind Gossip] It’s a great idea to read to children.

It helps you bond with them, improves their language skills, and helps to prepare them for academic success.

Lots of celebrities do it!

Here’s actor Chris Pine reading a child’s storybook called Clark The Shark.

Here is Academy Award Winner Nicole Kidman reading Paddington Bear to some unidentified children.

And here’s comedian Sarah Silverman reading a child’s book titled A Tale Of Two Beasts.

The photo on top is of Meghan Markle, an actress, reading to her adorable son Archie.

And here is Meghan getting ready to read to some unidentified children in their pajamas. The cute ginger-haired boy in front seems to be in charge of book selection.

There’s one celebrity, though, who takes reading children’s books to a whole ‘nother level.

She is a famous actress who used to be married to an Oscar-winning movie star.

Their children are cute, but getting a bit older.

So Actress is now reading children’s books to… her pet chicken!

We’re not kidding. It’s actually adorable.

    Oh…got to be Jennifer Garner. If you follow her on Instagram she has/had a series called “Reading Books With Birdie”. Birdie is a golden retriever and it was pretty darned cute. I know that she keeps chickens and is involved in organic farm products with her family. This qualifies as a blind item? It’s all pretty wholesome.

    Favorite children’s books: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?; Corduroy; anything by Eric Carle or Tomie dePaola; Beverly Cleary, Judy Blume; Goodnight Moon; a lot more…Reading to my kids was my favorite thing. They are grown now but I have students and read to them.

    Where the Sidewalk Ends! I used to check that book out of the library repeatedly when I was in second grade. I STILL remember many of the poems. This is a book I buy friend/family member’s children to this day. (Also loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)
