[Blind Gossip] This transgender celebrity is thinking of pulling a publicity stunt to protest the new order about transgender military members.

She wants to take cameras down to a local [military] recruiting office and tell them that she wants to join the military and then film a public confrontation when the recruiter rejects her.

It is not clear whether this would be used for some type of formal TV show or opposition campaign, or if it just for the celebrity’s own social media.

    Doubt it is Jenner because of age. But speaking of that why isn’t there outrage about the age restrictions? Seems there are probably a lot more “older” people who would like to serve rather than transgender people.

    It’s all just a bunch of politically correct BS to try to show how sympathetic we are to those who are different. If you want me to accept you as the same please stop pointing out how different you are!

    On a side note I’ve never understood why gender dysphoria has become part of the gay and lesbian cause. Being gay is quite far from the psychiatric/psychological aspect of gender dysphoria, and as the fight for gay rights is far from over I would imagine it’s actually hurting more than helping. ..

    Show up to a recruiting office and record a military recruiter who has absolutely nothing to do with trump tweets…and the projection that he/she would refuse to enlist this narcissistic clown, just so embarrassing for the LGBT community!

    I don’t know who it could be as I don’t know of any famous transgender people that are under the age and weight limit to be in the military. They’d look like a fool if it is CJ, Laverne Cox, or Chaz.

    It only hurts the military. There are already thousands of transgender soldiers serving. And the military spends more on erectile dysfunction drugs (by several millions) than it does on transgender medications and surgeries. I’d rather my tax dollars cover that than erectile dysfunction. Let those that want to serve, serve.

    Bruce, I mean Caitlin Jenner is too old. When the Military starts taking others who are on prescription drugs daily, then I will agree with the transgender community…until then…unless they are fully changed, and not on prescription drugs…they should stay out. We can’t afford their lifestyle changes.

    This just won’t happen. There are many thousands of trans US soldiers now. Are they gonna kick them out? ?️‍? military is vast & wont let this happen.

      There is not such thing as “many thousand” trans on military. The trans community in US is minimal-and kick out one or two won’t make any diference.

    People who want to trans have emotional issues. Those issues must be addressed .. Bruce is an example of some one who still seems in need of therapy. I don’t think someone with this type of identity crisis is a good candidate for the violence we see in combat. And are some joining just for the medical benefits to pay for the transition?

    RUPaul. I am not a Thumper but this Transgenderism seems like a fad thing whereas people are bored and want to do something hip and rebellious. The bigger issue is how Trump turns on people like Sessions . Am also seeing the True believers calling out Trump over the phony Evangelists praying for him in his office. Dangerous Times right now but PC Extremists, the LGBT, and Hollyweird brought it on themselves. If Kid Rock gets elected Senator then USA is finished !

    I think it’s too much complicating assimilate the transgender. Like you or not, people on gender re-assignment because birth defections, such malformed genitalia, or even on DNA level of stuff, live a normal like without be targeted as “transgender”. The problem is the excuse fake trans to avoid hard time such solitaire prison while on military, like faking a lot to get relief of duty. Just saying.

    What would this even prove? The recruitment officer might be just fine with a transgender entering the military but said recruitment officer also knows that it is not his/her call.

    Can everyone just stop? Republicans dealt with nonsense for eight years. Democorats now for at least four…it’s cyclical!

    Well I hope that this is not Caitlyn Jenner. It would be a little hypocritical of her given that she was pro Trump before the election.

    Hopefully it is Laverne Cox.

    Obviously it would hurt the military. I would think that it would be wise for any country to welcome anyone into the armed forces who is physically fit and willing to serve.

    This new rule (reinstatement of an old rule) will hurt our military. There are plenty of trans people in the military, but they didn’t say anything. Now that some people actually believed the T-bird’s statements and outed themselves, their military careers are toast. Who are we to say that we don’t need their loyalty, bravery, intelligence, and patriotism? It’s in such huge supply that we can throw that away? This is about not wanting them to get free surgery on…

    God, Caitlyn, you are much too old to join! You will rejected for that point perhaps without your transgender issue even being known, unless you push it in everybody’s face.

    I think the new military rule is to keep the idea of questioning your basic identity out of the military. And the reason for that is because your entire focus in the military should be on listening to orders, following orders and fighting the enemy.

      Trans people are not questioning their basic identity, they know who they are, transgender. They are perfectly capable of focusing on all those things.

      Agreed. Military is not pc, nor should it be. Completely different focuses. I’m all for gay marriage, gays in the military, but I am not sure about transgenders there. Possibly, with correct vetting and a case by case basis. But I don’t want to pay for reassignment surgery just like I don’t want to pay for someone else’s abortion or plastic surgery.

      But, as you know, that’s not realistic. I worked in the military community for 14 years and I can vividly remember standing at the acute care window and having to go around to go inside the medic’s station to get their attention away from youtube so that they could attend to a patient! Of course, my first day at work, one of the docs came through a crowd with a wheelchair shouting, “Emergency Patient!” There was a waffle sale going on and he had lots of plates on the seat!

      “The maximum age for Army enlisted recruits is 35, while the Navy and Marines cap recruit ages at 34 and 28, respectively. Under federal law, the oldest recruit any military branch can enlist is 42, although each service sets its own policy within that limit.”
      Apparently, Laverne Cox is too old too; she’s 45.

    I would say this is Caitlyn Jenner.
    I think the decision was made because of the costs associated with giving transgenders their monthly hormones. I just heard that the military doesn’t pay for sex re-assignment surgery, so that would not be an issue. I thought they had paid for Chelsea Manning’s surgery, but was that a special case? The military should not to be used for social engineering. A big Thank You! to all who have served!. I hope there can be some debate on this issue.

      According to the news stories the Generals didn’t ask for or want this ban-this isn’t about cost or effectiveness it’s him lashing out and punishing when he doesn’t get his way. Most people who are transgender before they enter the military are probably there because they have specialized training that’s not easily replaced

      Actually, it’s an attempt to deflect from his continued attacks on Jeff Sessions, He REALLY wants to win back conservatives and he’s doing it to discriminate against the LGBT. The fact is, the LGBT will never be truly accepted by Conservatives. Minorities need to stop propping these people up and trying to give them any kind of legitimacy.

      The sad fact is that the US military currently pays far more per month on Viagra and other erectile dysfunction treatments than it does (or conceivably ever could) for all transgender-specific medical costs. Like gludream says, actual military leaders never asked for this and weren’t consulted about it, it’s purely Trump pandering to his fans. The more he lashes out at the people they fear and dislike, they happier they are with him; the happier they are with him, the more he lashes out.

      Just an fyi, my ftm son’s testosterone is 5 bucks a month. A trans friend of mine pays around the same for her estrogen patches. So that’s not it.
      Social engineering? Nope, more like distraction from everything else…Russia, perhaps? Maybe throwing some red meat to the 12 ppl who still believe this guy’s nonsense? I swear, people!

      $5 per month for TRT? Must have really good insurance. I need it for a tumor and it’s over $450 per month. One thing to watch out for – the insurance company may have a pharmacy cap. It’s $5 now but once the retail exclusion (?) amount is reached, they’ll start charging full price. Talk to your insurer first so you don’t have to stop treatment bc of the cost.

    If she takes the cameras to Trump or any Trump family member, I’m for it. Trying to film a local office where the people had no say in this is just harmful to the message and hurtful to the cause and those working there.
