[Blind Gossip] This fashionable woman has always known about her famous husband’s bad behavior with women. She stayed with him anyhow.

Of course she knew. Everybody knew. She’s not stupid. She is very ambitious, though. Years ago, her business had some problems and she wanted to be part of a power couple, and there was nobody more powerful than him. He promised her that with his contacts he could make [her business] more successful and he delivered on that promise.

The only time I know that she seriously thought about leaving him was when there was a big problem with one of the girls a few years ago (pregnancy?). He told her that the girl set him up and he would fix everything. She believed it and he did keep his promise, so she stayed.

I’m not convinced that she is even really divorcing him now. They can’t afford to lose two companies, so I would not be surprised if they are trying to save hers by publicly distancing him from her right now.

Perhaps he promised her that he could fix this, too.

    Victoria and David Beckham, he is constanly accused in the media for having affairs and there is always news of them separating.

    Chapman may as well divorce him, Marchesa is done, A List actresses wore it because Weinstein pressured them to, and they were that brand’s walking billboards.

    So since its quite obvious it’s Weinstein and Chapman what’s maybe more interesting is who the pregnancy was and how he “fixed it”…

    This is obviously Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman. I think she wants to distance herself so the scandal doesn’t hurt her brand. I honestly feel sorry for people like this. They are so blinded by power and prestige that they lose sight of what’s important in life.

    She’s leaving him due to bad PR. More women have come forward with their experiences w/ Weinstein and to continue to defend him would destroy her brand (like Donna Karan). IMO she shouldn’t worry about him & should just leave. His company’s done for and he’s garbage. Marchesa is a top brand among celebs.

    She announced the separation sonthat her business wouldn’t be hurt by association.

    But why the suggestion that she’d go back to him. That would be bizarre. He’s damaged forever now. There will be no image rehab. And if she doesn’t love him, and why would she as he’s repulsive through and through, why go back?

    [Optional] I think she announced a separation to save face – often it seems like whenever someone gets caught in a scandal their spouse usually says they “didn’t know” it was happening and they separate.

      Thinking more on it, who wants to buy couture gowns from a woman who’s standing by a sexually predatory husband? Divorcing him makes good business sense for her.

    Clearly it is a salvage measure. If I, a nobody in an Australian city, was aware of Weinstein’s disgusting, exploitative behaviour, it couldn’t in a million years have escaped the notice of his wife and everyone in Hollywood currently feining ignorance. She made bank in this marriage, she’s only separating to keep the money rolling in.

    Everyone knows who this is. I don’t buy it that she’s not really leaving him. “They” can’t afford to lose two companies? Now that Weinstein’s career is over and he’s of no use to her, why the hell would she keep his pockets lined with Marchesa money? She’s a scheming gold-digger, she doesn’t give a * about what happens to Harvey now just like she didn’t give a * about the actresses being assaulted by him as long as they wore her ugly prom-* looking dresses.

    [Optional] Why do you think she announced a separation? The main reason is to save her own company, Marchesa, which caters exclusively to female clientele. Right now and for the foreseeable future Harvey is PR poison so he has to exit left. I think the split is final however, word on the street is that she has a boyfriend that she has been seeing for some time now.

    This pure PR. She is a driven lass. I love Project Runway, and i first caught on about Marchesa through her being a judge(!). Then i read Weinstein forced actresses to wear Chapman’s gowns on the red carpet. She had to separate from this * storm to save her tooshy.

When he could no longer deliver on his promise to keep making her business (MARCHESA) successful, she bailed on him. He’s dirty, and so is she.

    I read about how she wasn’t particularly a good salesperson, that Harvey “made” Marchesa famous. Saw that he told her to separate – but he also said he was on the way to Europe yesterday… She can file a “separation” for dignity and he can claim he gets rehabbed and she can milk the victim wife for a while… I think it depends on how much deeper this goes and what their pre-nup says and what sort of “settlement” he gets from the company.
