He Flipped Out At A Restaurant

[Blind Gossip] This richie rich business man loves to own things.

However, his big bank account also gives him a big mouth and a big ego.

You may have seen him on one of those business-oriented reality shows.

You may have also seen him meddling in politics recently.

He not just a big donor. He thinks that he is the smartest person in the room and that his wallet makes him qualified to tell you how to run your business/life/city/state/country.

Here’s a little secret: He is not a nice person.

Today, we have a quick story for you about what went down when he used to dine at a nice restaurant in a major city.

He was a regular at my restaurant. He was AWFUL. A complete man child of asshattery.

Example?

If there was if one little thing that was not to his liking (like a fingerprint on a water glass), he would scream at you in front of everyone and threaten to call [the restaurant owner] and tell him to fire you. He actually did make that call a couple of times while sitting at the table. He wanted everyone to see how important and powerful he was.

Sounds like a great guy.

One time he did not like the fish special. He started yelling at the server and then he OVERTURNED the table! Everything crashed to the to the floor. Then he stormed out.

We can imagine what that looked like, courtesy of a certain table flipper from Real Housewives of New Jersey!

Anything else?

Oh, and his friend would kick off his loafers with no socks at the table, pick at his feet then go right back to eating without washing his hands.

    Okay Trump is a germaphobe & no way would he be friends with someone who would pick his toes . There is a billionaire named Alki David who has a temper & farted into interviewer’s microphone on red carpet . Steaks imply all things Trumpian which could include siblings ? What if the steak is actually a red herring ? This would go back to Mark Cuban former bar owner & now a Vegan if he stuck with it

    This sounds like “Mr. Wonderful” to me. Although Mark Cuban is a close second guess, given the politics comment. He would like to president, it seems. He got seriously lucky long ago with the sale of his company, and was quite something back then – and not in a good way.

    Clearly Cuban. He buys popularity in Dallas through doing things like funding the local St. Patty’s day parade and party. But, everyone knows he’s a pain in the butt. He was in the right place at the right time and got very lucky. Now he thinks he’s a bigger deal than he is.

    Yes. The businesses in my town are dying because of this damned quarantine. We have all been absolute angels when it comes to
    staying home and PPE when trips to the grocery or pharmacy were needed.

    But now it’s time for America to get back to work. Places here have removed 50% of tables. If Walmart can be open, the spotless small restaurants around here can.

    I don’t think this is Mark Cuban. I’m from Dallas and I know people who have had encounters with him and they were all positive. If it is him, then he let his money get to his head. Maybe Wynn from Vegas?

    I’ve been out to half a dozen restaurants already. Felt totally fine and safe. I don’t see what the big deal is. You’re either going to get it or you’re not. Govt officials should allow their constituents to decide for THEMSELVES on how to be safe and whether to risk going out.

    Nah, this is Tilman Fertitta. Big bank account – owns NBA Houston Rockets, Golden Nugget Casino, scads of restaurant chains, super-upscale hotels, among other things. TV Show = Billion Dollar Buyer. Just met with Donald J. Trump a couple of days ago re: COVID reopening, as he as fired or furloughed 40K employees in his empire.

    Kevin O’Leary. He’s a very successful investor, has appeared in Shark Tank for several seasons, and a couple of years ago, he announced that he was running for the leadership of the Canadian Conservative Party. He has also put the lie to the myth that all Canadians are polite and nice; he has a reputation as a very nasty, arrogant piece of work.

    My first thought was Mike Bloomberg, but he’s never done any reality business related TV shows that I’m aware of. Also, from what I hear from people who work for his company, he’s a fairly decent guy.

    I haven’t stopped patronizing my favorite restaurants. Too many people out there have no manners. Too many screaming children too. I get the food to go even when there isn’t a Corona Virus.

    I was raised to admire business men and women. As an adult, the love has died to the point where I don’t want to be anywhere near a rich or famous person. Like the old saying goes, “Familiarity breeds contempt.”

    Op- already have. Our restaurants opened up indoors two weeks ago. Dined on the second day; wonderful to visit with my fav bartender and owner!

    Though, I think if it was him, the whole “his wife killed someone” thing might be referenced.

    Optional: It’s been THREE MONTHS since I’ve enjoyed a slice of pizza – a lifetime record for me. I won’t be eating out for a while, probably. Our area is hard hit by Covid-19 and I just don’t feel safe venturing out like I used to. Props to all the first responders, medical personnel, essential workers and those truckers/delivery folks who are keeping this country going!

    No idea but I feel a bit squeamish after reading this. Two lowlifes here, that’s for sure.
    We’re not going to any eat-in restaurants unless it’s to pick up meals (& it’s a restaurant we trust).

    Yes….I will be going anywhere that’s open. Out of 7.7 billion people on earth, there has been 315,000 deaths. Something’s not right with shutting us down and all the fear mongering.

      Or maybe it just means the shut downs helped slow the number of cases and deaths? My brother is a doctor and his hospital is at capacity for covid-19 patients, including quite a few younger patients and if you are unlucky enough to have bad complications it’s not good…

      Statistically that does seem low. However, consider that the proportion of deaths is only this low because so many areas of the world are following stay home orders. This will rise exponentially if we remove limits on in person interactions. And you are not accounting for the hundreds of thousands more the world over who survived this but now have serious long term side effects including extensive organ damage. That kind of impact will affect our healthcare system in the US for decades to come.

      Wow. That’s 315,000 HUMAN BEINGS who died lonely deaths battling to breath until they couldn’t. Of these, more Americans have died in comparison to any other country. 315,000 families are heartbroken. Out of respect we shouldn’t treat those who’ve passed as just a number. In Australia we lost amongst the least. We all complied to the restrictions as a supportive gesture to aussies who’ve died.

      MOSTLY, then why are SOME counties, which have very high cases being moved to yellow- such as York and Allegheny while smaller, less infected areas remain Red? It makes zero sense to me. (PS – thank you for your service and dedication to public health. ❤️)

      First, your political comment is out of place. Second, my Pennsylvania governor, Wolf, is acting in the best interest of the residents of the state. And since you brought it up, the medical experts, the epidemiologists, the virologists all agree: opening too soon will be a disaster. Wolf, unlike Donald John Trump, is listening to the knowledgeable people.

      Don’t think so – it says he’s a big donor. My guess is Cuban. Plus, for as much of a baby Donald can be, he has a sort of good reputation with service staff. And, this kind of event would have been all over the place already.
