Actor Ben Affleck went to rehab at the end of 2017. It didn’t take. Ben started drinking again.

When you are going to AA meetings in the morning and having large boxes of beer and Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch delivered to your home in the afternoon… it’s time for a more structured approach to sobriety.

Thanks to an intervention by wife Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck is now heading back to rehab.

Ben Affleck is heading back to rehab.

The actor, 46, is seeking treatment for alcohol addiction, PEOPLE confirms.

A source tells PEOPLE, “He is seeking treatment. He knew he needed help and was vocal about it.”

The move to enter a treatment facility came after his ex Jennifer Garner was photographed arriving at his home on Wednesday.

The Peppermint actress was seen leaving Affleck’s upset and shaking. When she returned, Garner, Affleck and an unidentified woman who arrived at the actor’s home with her were photographed in a car the actress was driving.

The mother of three reportedly stopped by a Jack In The Box in the Pacific Palisades before the trio drove to a treatment facility in Malibu.

On Monday, the Justice League star was photographed receiving an alcohol delivery outside of his Brentwood, California, home.

His addictions were so bad that Charlie Sheen had to talk him into going to rehab!

Jennifer Garner has always been the adult in their relationship.

Despite their separation and impending divorce – and Ben’s perpetual bad behavior – Garner has always acted maturely and put the best interests of their children first.

Garner wants Ben Affleck to have a good relationship with their three children, but she does not want him around their children when he has been drinking.

Garner definitely will not allow him to drive anywhere with them if he has consumed alcohol. Thus the breathalyzer test before he drives the kids anywhere.
