Flapping For A Friend

[Blind Gossip] This older American actor has been around forever. He’s always been fairly quiet and managed to stay out of any controversies. So why is he suddenly flapping his yap in a very noisy way about a very touchy subject?

He’s trying to make a preemptive strike for [a more famous friend] and create doubt in people’s minds before anything becomes public.

Sound like his famous friend is scared that someone he violated in the past is going to set their sights on him and unmask his very bad behavior.

He should be.

    I read Richard Kind’s interview and I didn’t get that he was covering for anyone. And he’s not wrong–there are a lot of thirsty people that would jump onboard for the same. Absolutely, I believe the people that have come forward.

    I know that Richard Kind and Clooney are incredibly close. Clooney was the Best Man at Kind’s wedding.

    So if the first guy is Richard Kind, the second name HAS to be George Clooney.

    “unmasked” = he also played Batman

    He and Kind starred together in ‘Cars’

      Oh wow the clues do all fit really well for that… awe that would be so disappointing… I’ve always loved Michael Keaton and he seems so down-to-earth & genuinely nice- like a regular joe-dad type…sad, hope it’s not him. One of my favorite funny movies is Multiplicity.

    mask could be a reference to the 1st season of Roseanne, where (at least) the three leads (Rosie, John, George) went out partying and at some point, George was snapped by John wearing only Groucho glasses over his junk. the alleged photo wound up on the set fridge before it disappeared one day. Larry King asked Rosie about it, her reply was “Well if George said it didn’t happen, it didn’t?” Allegedly, the photo was never on the camera side, but the kids could see it.

    It does appear to be Clooney, based on these clues:

    “set their sights” = “Out of Sight”
    “unmask him” = Clooney played Batman in “Batman Forever” (The word “forever” is used in the first sentence of the blind, too.)

    We have to presume many of the older actors know about or even took part in sexual deviant behavior in order to be accepted by their peers or because they really liked it and could get away with it. Being gay is normal- a completely separate & different category than being a pedophile, which automatically means being guilty of evil sexual assault. It is by far the worst crime!!!

    Can’t wait to hear who will go down next – this could end up being quite an interesting year. Might open doors for new, exciting fresh faces and directions in Hollyweird.

    I would not lie for a friend who I knew was guilty of a crime.

    Richard Kind from Spin City. Covering for either Clooney or Charlie Sheen. I’d say odds are pretty good it’s Sheen.

      Um what don’t we already know about Charlie Sheen’s depravity? He has HIV among other STDs, is irresponsibley promiscuous, has a mean bad temper, is dangerous around children- possible pedophile- so we all know he is a very disturbed perverted person. I thought he was already accused of rape anyway…. so I don’t think this is him. He is not worth defending. That would be stupidly futile of Richard Kind.

    “Flapping his yap” reminds me of the Marty Crane character on Frasier, John Mahoney…he is an older American actor who has been quiet, and is gay, but I haven’t seen any news about him, so that can’t be right

    I would not cover for a friend who I know committed a crime. If I did I would not consider myself a friend. But an enabler of a person I care about’s soul sickness.

    I was going to say Alec Baldwin defending Toback (?!?) but Baldwin has never met a controversy he didn’t love, so “quiet” definitely doesn’t fit.

    “Unmask” makes me think of Jim Carrey. Clearly I need to catch up.on my entertainment news today…

    No idea on the older American actor or his more famous friend. Let’s face it, with what is coming out of Hollywood on an hourly basis, these could be anybody.
    No, I would not cover for a friend who committed a crime. If a friend has to cover his actions then you know there is a high probability the behavior is criminal. There are limits to friendship and one of them is covering up a crime or the actions of a criminal.

    Don’t know who the older actor is. But the clue “unmask” makes me think his friend is the truly creepy Jim Carrey. *shiver*

    Depends on the crime. But if it involves intentionally hurting an innocent person I’d speak up to authorities or keep my mouth shut.

    No, I don’t think so. The smallest example of covering for a crime that I can conceive of would be to have a pot smoking friend ask me to say he wasn’t smoking it when he was. I could almost see doing that except then you have just made yourself into a liar to someone else. And maybe that someone else would care very much, like Jen with regards to Ben. So no, not a good idea and I would not do it.
