Crying Trump Tears

November 9, 2016 Blind Gossip

[Blind Gossip] Not everyone is happy about Donald Trump’s victory. This actress has been the star of more than one TV show. Her actor husband is more the film type. They were both very emotional about the results of the election.

She cried when Trump was declared the winner. [Her husband] cried too. They were both absolutely convinced that Hillary would win, and they are devastated. He said, “It’s like the end of the world.”

Does this mean that the husband wouldn’t consider starring in the Broadway production of Trump: The Musical?

I agree with the SJP and MB guesses.

I neither laughed nor cried. I voted for Trump because I am sick and tired of career establishment politicians. My biggest issue in this race was the appointment of Supreme Court Justices. I think Hillary would have appointed activist justices, and I think Trump will hopefully appoint strict Constitutionalists. Hillary is a Progressive Globalist elitist. Trump is an unknown, but absolutely hates to fail, so I think he will work hard to be a great…

Well, reading the comments, three different people have denigrated the upset responders as “losers” and “crybabies” who need to “adjust [their] meds.” The complete departure of civility from public discussion is only one of the casualties of this race. Never in history has a candidate refused to release tax returns; but now they all will. No modern candidate has called for the incarceration of his opponent, until this one. That’s what dictatorships do. I didn’t cry, but I’m…

Obama refused to release his college transcripts, and he made a deal with Iran that virtually handed them the power to make nuclear weapons. During his eight years, our country has become more violent and racially divided than ever. I really don’t think Trump is going to do any worse.

  9. PizzaDog says

Optional: I cried, hard. Not because Trump won, but because I knew that everyone who voted for him would believe they have carte blanche permission to commit acts of abuse and violence against any and all racial and religious minorities, which is anyone who is not a white man. And that has already started all across the country, in both rural and urban areas.

What has already happened today is only just the beginning, and that both breaks my heart and infuriates me. How do we fix this?

No idea. But I remember people saying the same things when Reagan was elected president: he was a fascist, bomb the Soviet Union, start World War III, you name it. And here we are 36 years later, alive and well, going through the same routine.

    • PhoenixRising says

      November 10, 2016 at 3:14 pm

As a former history teacher, I’d like to suggest that everyone go back and read about former presidents. We had some great ones, and we had some absolutely awful ones. And yet, as you put it so well, we’re still here, going about our daily business.

Cry. The repeal of the ACA is going to bankrupt my family, dealing with a husband who has had cancer 2x and two special need kids (but not bad enough for Medicaid).

He’s not just going to repeal it without replacing it with something else. It may even be BETTER than ACA. Have some faith and don’t look at this so negatively! He used to be a Democrat after all…..

    • BobNYC says

      November 10, 2016 at 3:31 pm

Trump is not going to be able to control the rabid Republican dogs in Congress. They want to replace the ACA with something that will result in higher profits for the pharmaceutical and hospital/doctor industries. But you are correct about Trump not being a Republican. He is a dictator and a fascist. BIG difference. (I come from a century-long Republican family.)

We darn near lost our house because of the ACA. It has driven premiums and deductibles through the roof. I’ve had cancer, and one of my parents has cancer right now. The bills are absolutely astronomical. I now have a medical lien on my house because the bills were so high. The ACA helped some for those around the poverty level, but for the middle class it squeezed us until we were nonexistent.

    • PhoenixRising says

      November 10, 2016 at 1:57 pm

I’m sorry your family is having medical problems. However, I’m not so sure the whole thing will be repealed. It does need tweaking, though, so there’s a chance it could get better.

    • MissHelenLawson says

I know this sounds cold–it’s meant to. I’m tired of having more and more taxes taken from the money I scrape together from two jobs. In the state I live in, almost half winds up in the state and fed’s hands. And I have kids and medical bills and problems of my own.

I don’t ask you to pay for them. I take care of my own. Don’t ask me to continually fund rat-hole federal programs that help you. My family has needs, and we barely get by.

Wow, I really feel for those dealing with huge medical bills. I live in Canada, and yes, we have big problems here too, by no means a perfect country, and are taxed to the HILT, but we never have to worry about being treated for cancer or other big time illnesses. I thank God every day for our universal health care….for me, its a huge advantage to my life being a self employed person.

Honey, we paid into the system for years. Our family is now one of those who needs help because my husband is completely disabled. I say this with all sincerity – I truly hope you’re never at the point my family is at. My husband’s on close to 60…SIXTY medications. It’s not like he asked to have cancer. Acute lympoblastic leukemia was his first one. Look it up. It’s a real peach.

I also sincerely hope you find some empathy.

NativeAtlantaGirl, I am with you!! I was laughing so hard at the smugness of the media being handed a big middle finger, and I also did not care for either candidate. I am very tired of the media and Hollywood thinking they can rig things their way all the time. All of the broadcasters looked like they had witnessed the apocalypse. Sue me but I found it funny.

    • MrsBreeder says

      November 10, 2016 at 10:50 am

She did win the popular vote yes. BUT — overall, more people voted AGAINST her than for her. She had 59,938,290 votes. Trump + 3rd parties combined had 64,995,786. If we count the “other” listed in the results, that brings it up to 65,800,014 people who DID NOT VOTE FOR HILLARY. The US resident population (not including overseas military, etc) is just shy of 325 million. While we can’t get an exact # on citizens, it is safe to say that 59.9 million is not half of that number.

    • RayneQueen says

      November 11, 2016 at 1:27 am

Why do you count third party voters and ‘others’ as NOT disgusted by Trump?

    • letithurt says

      November 11, 2016 at 4:46 am

Most people were voting for, not against, a candidate. Although that’s effectively how it worked in this election, voting for Johnson or Stein does not imply that Trump would have been their second or even third choice, or that their vote for a candidate was predicated on wanting to vote against Clinton

    • celebiddy says

      November 10, 2016 at 3:54 pm

the electoral college ensures that the big cities don’t have a stranglehold over the rest of the country who they can’t relate to. take a look at the final red/blue map by country. you cannot let la, ny, sf, philly, chicago etc have the only say in it just because their groupthink bubbles are bigger

    • celebiddy says

      county not country*

    • LooLoo says

      November 10, 2016 at 9:48 pm

Exactly. There is more to this country than NY, LA, Chicago, etc. And increasingly, those areas are absolutely brainwashed into believing that any dissenting opinions are evil. We can’t let a handful of cities decide our elections. There are a lot of states out there with people who should have just as much voice.

    • letithurt says

      November 11, 2016 at 4:54 am

Great, but if you want every vote to count for the same, then it either has to be a direct popular vote, or the electoral college votes have to be dictated by population and recalculated for every election. Based on the number of representatives is great in theory, if calculating that number of representatives weren’t done every decade and population numbers didn’t grow faster than that. It simply can’t keep being possible for someone to win the most votes but lose the election. This isn’t…

    • celebiddy says

      November 13, 2016 at 8:27 am

you need to keep in mind that campaigns are geared toward winning the electoral college, not the popular vote. if they focused on popular vote the candidates would spend the whole time catering to big cities and ignore the rest of the country

No, actually they did not. They voted for jobs and keeping our borders protected, something that all other countries do. If they are “haters” then so too are most people as their countries protect their borders.

    • LooLoo says

      November 10, 2016 at 9:45 pm

I know a lot of people who voted for Trump, and none of them are “haters” as millennials constantly say. A lot of Republicans vote because they want lower taxes. Some believe that this vote was more in line with their religious beliefs. I don’t think this has a thing to do with race or hatred or any of this other hysteria.

Utter garbage. The Dems have not had control for the last 8 years. We’ve had the presidency, but an extremely obstructionist Republican Congress for the vast majority of that. And it’s Congress that has the most influence over the policies that impact people day to day.

I cried because this ticket is deeply homophobic and ran partly on instating Supreme Court judges that will take the equality I and so many of my friends and loved ones fought so hard for away. I cried because my African American and hispanic and Muslim friends feel like there’s no place for them in Trump’s America. I cried because rights women have fought so hard…

Pretty well, but Obama actually had a clue what he was talking about politically. Trump has made it extremely clear that he doesn’t know what he’s doing, and more importantly, doesn’t care to learn from or listen to those who do.

I used to think that – when I was being manipulated by the media, but I actually think DT is going to be good for the economy and the “poor white people”. He’s politically incorrect in the way he speaks but his message is about looking out for all Americans. I think Hillary was a good story teller who believed what she said but had an agenda she’d be required to keep post election. The markets are soaring, so most of the world is betting on America. Not bad so far.
