Avoiding Sex And The City

[Blind Gossip] Like many actresses, this performer wants to do more than just act.

To this end, she is now designing and selling things.

There’s a problem, though.

She was on an ensemble series with several other famous actors. She is now running into an issue with them helping her promote her products.

Some of them don’t want to get into a Sex and The City situation. If they help her promote her stuff, everyone will wonder, “But where is [Second Actress]?” They don’t want to be labeled as the mean girls who excluded [Second Actress] like all those actresses did with Kim Cattrall. Unless they can come up with a good line about why only some of them are participating, it’s awkward for everyone.

      What is Busy Phillips selling? the book you mean? Her BFF is Michelle Williams who is a way more heralded actress than Katie.

    Going to guess shay mitchell from pretty little liars as the designer, and as lucy hale as the one that gets excluded while askley, troijan and sasha hang out together and promote for shay.

      I don’t think the dynamic with the FRIENDS women is anything like SATC was. Courtney and Jennifer are genuinely close. And which of them would really NEED the others to all get on board? They are kinda all famous in their own right. I mean if it is Aniston selling jeans as listed below does she NEED Courtney Cox approval to sell things? JA is huge in her own right and doesn’t need it.

    Just tweet or post about it if they want to? I don’t think old colleagues should be obligated to be BFFs forever. Maybe they want to do a reboot/movie eventually and don’t want any drama idk. Seems silly.

    Always thought Leighton was the most talented. If she had pimped her private life the way Lively did, she’d be everywhere.

      Lively’s Preserve site was mercifully short-lived, shuttered in 2015 not to be resurrected (yet) that I’ve seen. (She does seem to be dipping a toe back in the lifestyle world with a recent instagram post about her unpaid hobby of home decorating/design, but not clear she’s trying to monetize that – yet. Happy to see Meester back on TV, and leaning into her obvious comedic talent – she’s created balance in her private/public life, which is hard to do today in H’wood.

      Yes, you’re right about Preserve, but I meant a new tv series about fashion she is developping with Amazon and that also seems to feature a strong “merchandising component”, or at least that was the news a frew days ago!

    I mean… I think so. They’re the only other show I can think about where one of the leads doesn’t seem to be in contact with the others. I say they do should do it, it seems to be blatantly obvious they don’t get on with Teri Hatcher!

      Good guess! Plus there were four main original housewives, like SitC plus two were brunettes, one was a red head and one had blonde hair, just like the gals in SitC.

      I think I’d agree, but I don’t know. Felicity Huffman posted recently on instagram on the DH anniversary. Six pictures in a montage. She tagged all the women – even Nicolette Sheridan – posting pictures of herself with them, and funny anecdotes. But she didn’t tag Teri nor shared pictures with her.

      I think it’s pretty clear that she doesn’t care. I don’t think Marcia would either.
