After Birth Plan

[Blind Gossip] This pregnant actress has been talking to her husband about what is going to happen after she gives birth.

It isn’t going well.

She really wanted to take 4-8 weeks off to recuperate and then go back to work because there are a lot of projects waiting for her.

Sounds reasonable.

She thought they could take turns being home with the baby. You know, one project for her, then one project for him.

That sounds like her thoughts rather than an actual, agreed-upon plan.

He’s putting up a fuss and says he’ll take a week or off off but that’s it.

    The only pregnant actress I can think of that would have ‘projects waiting for them’ is Rachel McAdams… but I don’t think she’s married or know exactly who the father is

    Doesn’t say what the husband does for a living so I’m guessing he is not an actor. I’ll go with Eva Longoria. I know she has several shows in development.

    I have no idea who this is—but wife should take this as a major red flag. Hubby cares more about his projects than her post-partum health!?! Doesn’t sound like he’s going the parental distance…:p

    I can only guess Alec Baldwin and Hilaria, though she isn’t an actress.

    Alec is such a spoiled cry baby and grandstanding diva that Hilaria has an over 50 brat to raise as well as their ACTUAL children. Only taking a week off while expecting the mother to sacrifice everything is why we’re in a post Weinstein societal reset about women’s role and fair share. They are WOMAN, hear them roar !

    The only married couple I can think of that are both working actors are Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemmons. They are both in prime years of their careers both critically and commercially. I think after the baby is born he might change his tune

      Don’t think it’s them since this is their 2nd child together.
      If the 1st one didn’t cause any problems, no reason a 2nd would.

    That’s perfectly reasonable. Men are responsible for parenting too and his career shouldn’t supercede hers.

      He is from a very patriarchal culture. Eva born and bred in the US may not be down with that.

    They probably should have discussed this before deciding to have children. But aside from that, it’s not unreasonable to expect equal time parenting provided you can afford it.

    Get a live-in nanny. Also remind the husband it takes two to make a baby. If he won’t help the way you want him too then “You will be fighting more & more about how to raise the child”.

    That is why I always recommend to people that before you have a child get a dog! See how your partner treats/disciplines the dog! If you don’t like how they treat a dog then you will hate them on how they want to raise your child!!

      Great advice. Another piece of sagely wisdom is watch how a man treats the women in his life like his mom, sisters, if he has exes that still respect him, ALL telling!

      I’ve been saying for years that if people cannot raise a puppy to adulthood properly and look after its needs ( physical, social, behavior, medical, etc ) throughout the years, then they have no business having children.

      Raising children well is infinitely more difficult and requires an abundance of self sacrifice. It should come as no surprise that self centered narcissists, which describes most celebrities, have so many ‘problem’ offspring.
