A Hellish Reception At New York Fashion Week

[Blind Gossip] This fashion icon is used to people fawning all over her.

However, she got a big dose of hatred when she tried to get into one show at New York Fashion Week!

Some anti-fur protestors gave her a hellish reception when she tried to sneak into one show through the side entrance.

There were some anti-fur protestors who knew exactly where she was going to be. They confronted her on the way in, waving signs and screaming in her face. She just froze until a security guard grabbed her and escorted her past them. She was clearly terrified and was still shaking when she got inside.

She was not wearing fur that day, but she has many times in the past and has been very supportive of the fur industry.

    Fur is never ever okay. What makes us humans think everything — living or not — on this planet was created for our pleasure? How is that working for us, btw? Not too good, judging by the environmental holocaust we have inflicted on the planet. We can thank factory farming and the human greed for burgers for that. But fur is a whole other can of beans. It is worn as an audacious display of wealth. Fur is cruel, inhumane and downright evil and I CANNOT believe in 2018, people still defend it.

    Is it OK to wear fur? Hell yeah!! Look at the animals we use– rabies-ridden pests like minks, raccoons, foxes, chinchillas (shudder)…. Personally, I only wear fake fur. I don’t see the need to pay that kind of money. But I don’t think activists have a right to terrorize people for their beliefs.

    I want this to be Kim Kardashian, but wouldn’t we have seen something about it? Bouncey, JLo and Gaga wear fur too, but Kim is the only one I have heard bragging openly about loving fur. She even bought North a $3,000.00 fur jacket.

    There’s no need to wear real fur. If you like the look of fur, there are so many pretty faux furs available.

    I live in Northern Canada and I absolutely believe it is okay to wear fur. It is the warmest possible thing in minus 35 weather! However…..I do not believe that it is okay for people who live in Los Angeles or any warm climate to wear it. Even New York doesn’t get that frigging cold.

    Anna Wintour is known to still wear real fur.

    I think there are a lot of good faux options that look and feel like real fur, so the need to breed animals for fur isn’t necessary anymore, but if someone chooses to wear the real thing I don’t care.

    No idea, and I’ll probably get slammed for this, but I don’t mind fur. I grew up in cold country, and nearly everyone had fur hats and coats. I grew up near a large fox and mink farm and it was just part of living.
    I’m not keen on PETA and their habits of attacking people. There are too many other things going on right now that are so much more important.
    Don’t like fur? Don’t wear it.

    After Kim Catrall made public just how vindictive SJP was to her, it’s more Karma. SJP should wear faux horse hair in reference to her face. lol. Wearing fur is reprehensible. It’s an industry built upon cruelty and the exploitation of living beings.

    Personally I would never wear fur as I do love animals. However if someone choose to wear it, it’s their choice.

      I understand the poor animal didn’t get a choice and that is very sad but I just can’t see how you can get people to stop wearing it if that’s what they wanna wear.

    I can’t answer Kim/Kiley, unless there is a huge “HA HA HAAAA!” inserted after the words “fashion icon.”

    Therefore, I must go with Gaga. 1. The gal in the picture looks like Gaga & 2. Gaga was in a flap about wearing fox fur. She wrote a mocking tweet about it, telling people to thank Hermes for it.

    If it were the only option people had to stay warm then yes, I would say it’s okay to wear it. But no, not in today’s world.

    PS: Faux fur is often dog…

    No, there is no need to farm animals just for their fur. I eat meat so I can’t be a hypocrite about wearing leather, though.

    The only fashion icon I’m aware of is Anna Wintour so ?

    A friend and I got into her mother’s fur coat stash when I was a kid, and honestly it just felt creepy to me to put them on so I’d never wear one. But I don’t judge people who do. I eat meat and wear leather.

    is this kim k? i don’t consider her a fashion icon myself, though perhaps the fashion industry might…her clothing taste is vulgar, tacky and inappropriate to me.

    (optional) i don’t wear fur myself personally, however, if other people want to do that, that’s on them. just don’t be shocked when you get yelled at by anti-fur protesters like the ones in this blind.

    Most ironically, it’s the icy Anna Wintour. “Hellish” because she is infamously the inspiration for the editrix in “The Devil Wears Prada”. Imagine that she was shaking thinking of what might have happened had security not intervened.
