Singer Is Not So Sweet

[Blind Gossip] This music artist peaked many years ago, but that hasn’t stopped him from continuing with his music career.

He went through a very rough patch, physically, emotionally, financially.

However, his fans – who have been with him since he was a child star – were rooting for him to come out the other side, sober and focusing on his career.

Now, maybe not so much.

You see, he held a listening party in the past month. He charged $150 for tickets. Eager fans bought the tickets. They showed up at the venue the night of the show.

The singer never showed up!

To add insult to injury, he ignored all requests to refund the money.

That should have been the end of it, right?

Nope!

He recently advertised for another event for tonight that he is holding in a big city on the East Coast.

Naive fans ponied up $125 a ticket.

One smart fan – who knew what had happened a few weeks ago – called the venue to verify that the singer was actually scheduled to perform.

The venue’s response? “We have no such event on our calendar.”

Busted!

Yes, the singer had sold tickets for another non-existent event!

When he was called out on the bogus ticket sales, the singer did not respond… but he did take down the ad.

What are the chances that those fans who just shelled out $125 will get their money refunded?

$125 buys an awful lot of candy!

    I almost answered this yesterday and said ‘Leif Garrett’ but checked first. Thank goodness…. I’m aging myself for sure naming him but he has become enough of a loser that I wouldn’t put something like this past him.

    Aaron Carter? He had a song called “I Want Candy” back in the day….he pocketed it obviously…mental issues or not, he’s a sleazebag…but I’m more shocked there are still people who would pay that much for anything he puts out…

    That’s fraud —wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain— and fans should file a class action suit. LOCK HIM UP.

    This sounds like something Justin Beiber would do. He hasn’t been relevant in years. I hope that he and his muppet looking wife fade into obscurity sooner rather than later. They are annoying, he’s a has been with a history of alienating his fans, and Selena Gomez dodged a major bullet.

    My now 26 yr old daughter used to adore him. He’s been doing this since at least 2014. A lot of young people could have been the face to behind the song, “I want Candy.” His older brother seems to appreciate his celebrity opportunity, hence, recent Restraining Order that NC has against AC. Mental health struggles doesn’t excuse theft. No wonder he & Corey Feldman are feuding…probably shared secrets & now blackmailing each other. How is he not in jail ( I know the answer, sadly)?
